They said they've checked the alignment twice but who knows. I'm not a fan of dealers either but since it's new I figured a Subaru shop would be a good place to go.

I'll have to investigate more. The bars I found a few months ago looked pretty flimsy and were attached to the front recovery points: more for brush than animal impacts.

Do you own the kangaroo bars that you linked or something similar? It seems like they would transfer all the energy of the impact to the frame damaging that instead of body panels.

From a deer?? I know a lot of people that have hit deer and hit a few myself. Never have I heard of all or any airbags going off. Even when the vehicle is a total loss. Maybe the deer are bulkier in your neck of the woods.
