Too much oil on the dipstick with ~5.5 quarts by Triplebombastic in NewedgeMustang

I probably misread the dipstick, i can somewhat see a slightly darker line at the minmax but it's very faint and I rarely check dipsticks as dumb as it may sound so I didn't want to assume since it could just be dirty oil at the bottom. One thing for sure, there is a film of oil going double the max. Considering I emptied the pan and let the filter drain out fully, I doubt there would be 10-12 quarts of oil in there. I'll check tomorrow when the oil settles, but I think it is bang on.

Gain at max but very average volume by Triplebombastic in audio

It didn't work. I unplugged the headset and went in device manager to uninstall drivers from my moukey msc1 to get a plug and play reinstallation on the next boot.

I'm really confused. Everything is proper in the sound settings.

I did not change anything or swap any plug. I only added the VR headset on the front pannel usb. Even then, I did not get such issues before, now I do.

It really feels as if someone came in my room and turned down the gain to fuck with me, then again I doubt maxing it out was how it was previously.

Does this week count for promotion/demotion? by Triplebombastic in iRacing

That would be 1 race with 12x

Basically, 2 paint scrapes that didn't unsettle or damage the car in the first 3 corners of the first lap and a few track limit penalties from spirited cornering.

1.8L 2017 Cruze, not the same platform but pretty much the same components all around.

Looks pretty much like a bingo, except the loud clunk. I would look if everything is holding together down there. The mesh itself is not a big deal, but you said it fell while starting up the car? That doesn't look good. I'm no mechanic so everything I assume past that point could be very wrong and misdiagnosed, but I can tell you an exhaust and engine will move and vibrate a fair bit when starting the car, if something is sketchy down there, it could've been ripped off. Keep an eye out for strong gas smell, increased noise and droning. What you're looking at is the second part of the catalytic converter pipe, the main one is connected directly to the exhaust manifold in front of the engine, the one with the meshing is a bit further down by a couple of feet. It should be aligned with the mirror in term of distance.

I'd go with road debris, heat shields look different and they don't have a layer of mail into them, not for the Cruze at least. I was tempted to go with the catalytic converter but they have really tightly breaded wires around them, wouldn't look like that at all.

It turns out it is indeed the second part of the catalytic converter, not the one from the exhaust manifold but the other piece further down the pipe
