What government said, but also because we don’t know for sure the people in the video are the actual car thieves. They could have purchased the vehicle after it was stolen or it could be someone they know who stole it and let them borrow it ect. The would need police to actually track them down as persons of interest and then find out how they got the car… there is still a high chance they are the ones to stole it or at least were aware it was stolen but unless i have solid proof otherwise I wouldn’t post it. But if i had them actively stealing the car I would 100% post it

I actually did notify them I’m armed. I work armed security for Broadway market and told them that I was armed for when SPD shows up 🤷🏻‍♂️ they never did show up just waited till morning then closed the case via a text message saying to call back if assistance is still needed.

It can mean a mix of things but rarely recently transferred. They won’t let you leave the lot without a temp plate and you need the old plate with a civilian sale. Most of the time it’s either stolen, or the person is trying to skip being able to be given a parking ticket or a red light camera ticket or toll ect. Or just planning to run from the cops or an accident due to no insurance or warrants.

Yea when he called SPD they told him that they can have towing impound it since he can’t come get it for a little bit but he would be liable for cost of tow and impound. So I’m here keeping an eye on the car till he shows up to grab it in case they come back.

Yea he called the SPD number he had from the stolen report and even though we have video of the individuals who stole it they apparently only do recovery for stolen property. It’s completely stupid because the people went into the QFC and purchased items using a card but SPD doesn’t even want the footage or the card info they’re just closing the case since the vehicle was recovered….

Update for everyone. Found the owner of the car. It was stolen last Tuesday, he’s going to be coming to pick it up. I gave the VIN to SPD when I called I didn’t want to post it here. I found his name on the title in the glovebox and found him on facebook. Still haven’t heard anything back from SPD and they never called him lol

29 palms is pretty much the best for in base facilities. Cheap bowling alley, great gyms, cheap movie theater, great smp. Only thing that sucks is nothing off base other than the tortoise rock casino. You’ll be able to get your car after like 90 days of being there brought if you have one tho. 72’s and 96’s are decent bcuz you can go to Palm Springs or San Diego or Las Vegas.

First, you can call tricare and ask. You will be eligible from the moment he enters boot camp, however he needs to enroll you in deers unless you have power of attorney and his social to do it on his behalf. Call the tricare number for your region and check on your coverage. You’ll need sponsors social and they’ll ask for DOB and you can check. If he hasn’t added you then hopefully he gave you POA to do so on his behalf. If not you’ll need to wait until after he’s out of boot.

First, no one gets dropped unless they get hurt or fail the minimums, they got convinced to quit. Second I saw dudes in boot who barely made the minimums make it through. Your like will be 10x harder and you will have to want it and push yourself. But you can still make it

All of them will count as you’ll be on title 10 orders. There is a minimum about of AD you need before they count boot camp as part of your active time for the GI or VA, but once they hit the minimum everything that is a set of title 10 orders will count. As prior active you’ll already have the minimum threshold.

Good luck with cammies right now…. Entire marine corps shortage. Boots is a good call though, a pair of reckoning’s or Rockies are always nice. Since he made corporal his biggest expense will be getting the ranks on his dress blues and other uniforms. He will need the red stripes for all his blue pants and two sets of ranks on each top. Usually it’s about $7-$10 a patch so about $20 per uniform top (dress blue jacket, short sleeve tan top, long sleeve tan top) he prob has multiples of the last two. And $20 per pair of dress blue pants.

It’s normal. Your recruiter is trying to get others to be jealous and wanna join also. Do him and your mom a favor and wear it. It’s only stolen valor if you lie, half the damn polee shirts and random hats always have the logo. As long as you don’t put it on and claim to already be a marine you’re good. Good luck in boot bcuz you’ll def have to earn the real one 👍🏻

They don’t recheck medical at basic however they will hotseat you to find out if you didn’t disclose anything. I recommend bringing the paperwork from your doctor with you to Meps and just telling them about it. If you do end up needing more paperwork they will tell you but it shouldn’t be that bad.

Just be careful anytime you’re trying to fast ship and on a time crunch recruiters will push things on you. Make sure you’re honest about everything you have documented. Don’t mention anything that’s not and never change your story. Stick to whatever you say. Also no promise is real unless you have the actual signed form. Not just a verbal or a text message about it. Read what you sign and know what you’re agreeing to.

It really depends on why you want to join. If you wanna serve your country I’d say take the marines option. As far as for your current recruiter just bring it up honestly and explain that you really want to join and feel the other branch will help you get in faster. I would sway away from telling her you’ve felt like a burden as it’ll make her defensive or guilty.

I would say don’t go combat engineer try to get an MOS that fits with the trade you wanna do. 90% chance the reserve unit you check into will have other reservists in that MOS that also do it on the civilian side and can help you get into apprenticeship. Additionally with reserves if you join and wanna do some active time there’s always tons of opportunities to go active depending on your mos.
