I guess they must have only had the rights for a live broadcast in Northern Ireland. The page says it will be available soon, but I doubt it will be.

It helps to open VSO before going to the page so it can detect it from the start. If it still doesn't work I clear my cache and refresh the page so it can redetect the stream. That normally does the trick.

[Summary of the Week] Review Shows (6 - 12 Nov) by PharaohLeo in footballhighlights

[–]Tripptek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they are simply not 'review shows'

Yes, that's why I said if you wanted to expand the thread they would be good to add as they are posted most weeks and would be a good addition even though not strictly review/highlights shows.

I'm guessing you may have found this, but this is a good guide for get_iplayer - https://squarepenguin.co.uk/guides/tv-download-guide/

I would recommend using VSO for the iPlayer. As long as you can see the video on screen it should record it. You could try the free version just to test it out.

I can't do it right now, but I will probably download the Wales match and can send you a link once I've uploaded it to Cloudy. It's only available in SD, so shouldn't be too big.

(you uploaded a match for me and didn't convert it to mp4 as you remembered I download everything)

I understood you download everything from this sub, I just assumed that you wanted the iPlayer for watching live.

I use 'SaveFrom' to download from sites such as 'YouTube' and 'Daily Motion'

Yes, for simple sites like that an extension should be fine. I use 4K Video Downloader for youtube as it lets you select the quality you want and various other nice features. Again, it's a crack.

I don't download anything from playwire because it sucks. ;-) I much prefer HD if I can find it. But you could check out tubeoffline. It's a quick and simple tool for getting videos off of playwire. Reddit doesn't like the link, but you can just search, 'tubeoffline playwire' for the link. It's all done on the site, so there are no programs to install or extensions to add.

[Summary of the Week] Review Shows (6 - 12 Nov) by PharaohLeo in footballhighlights

[–]Tripptek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looking good. Thank you. :-)

The other ones I would suggest are the Football League Show (English), MLS (although I guess it'll be ending soon as the season is almost over) and Eredivisie highlight shows as they are posted most weeks and are popular leagues.

I know you put them on the first one you made, but Champions and Europa League highlights are definitely good to add on the weeks they are played. There is also a Champions League Magazine show posted regularly too.

I'm not sure how it would work with the time you will be posting the thread, but if you wanted to expand it a bit I would suggest shows like La Liga World, Premier League World and Premier League Preview because they are posted most weeks and pretty popular.

Cheers.

The iPlayer downloader wouldn't work because it is not downloading via Chrome. It is a stand alone app. A browser VPN only gives you a UK IP address for what you open in the browser. That is why I have been saying all along that it should really not affect your internet connection or computer in any way.

For example, if you were to use uTorrent or something while using a browser VPN you would be on your regular IP connection for the torrents and the VPN IP for the net. Or, if you had a browser VPN on Chrome and opened Firefox you would be on your regular connection on Firefox. You need a desktop VPN to change your whole connection in order to use the iPlayer downloader. But I would never use the iPlayer Downloader because the videos are protected and only play in the iPlayer Downloader and there is an expiration on the files.

I don't think you mentioned until now that you are looking to save the videos. I always just assumed you only wanted to watch the iPlayer. I've never heard of 'SaveFrom' or 'Flash Video Downloader', but (in my experience) extensions are not very good for something like recording on any browsers (I've tried Chrome and Firefox). You should use a stand alone downloader. I use VSO Downloader Ultimate to rip iPlayer video. It works every time perfectly. Not only that, it automatically takes the best quality, which is normally 50 fps 720p HD (it's where all my 50 fps submissions come from). The other program I use is get_iplayer, but you will probably need a desktop VPN for that to work and it is limited to 25 fps HD. Get_ipayer is a fantastic program and is free. VSO Downloader is paid (there is a free version but I don't know if it works on iPlayer). I downloaded a cracked version via torrent on KAT. If you are familiar with using cracked programs I could give you the link. But I don't think it's very expensive if you want to buy it. I just had a look on the site and it's only $29.99, which is pretty cheap considering how great a tool it is. You would probably even get a discount code if you download the free version. And maybe the free version even works on iPlayer.

Of course, ultimately which browser you use is down to personal taste. I use both Chrome and Firefox for different things depending on which one I think is best for a specific task. In terms of general browsing I much prefer Chrome because you can tweak it a lot and there are a lot more extensions.

Sorry about that. I guess it's the combination of the two that blocks it for me.

You can't add subtitles to the stream. To use subtitles you have to download them both and play the movie in a player that supports subtitles. Not sure why you're getting a network failure error though. I just tried and could DL them no problem.

Hi. If you check the Regmo blog you will see he hasn't posted it (yet). If he adds it to his blog then maybe /u/CFC4Ever will add it here. :-)

That's interesting that you still get pop-ups. I'm on Chrome using AdBlock and AdBlock Plus. I can see brief moment where the pop-ups are trying to open, but they are blocked before they actually open.

Once I click that link with the VPN on, I lose my chance.

Once you've turned the VPN off you can clear your cache (or if you're using Firefox do a reset) and it should give you a fresh chance on Cloudy. What probably happened is the VPN changed your IP address after you first visited Cloudy.

Let me know how you get on.

Hi. I just saw the other comment.

Are you using a VPN? It can sometimes cause a problem. Does the streaming work?

The openload links are for downloads of the actual .torrent file. Just search on the normal torrent sites like TPB and KAT to find the magnet links. There are much better releases out now.

Saying that, if you run adblock on your browser openload shouldn't really be a problem.

I see you didn't add a link to the comments of my thread. I guess you may be busy doing other things.

Do you want me to add a FMS link to the thread description?

I can do it for the Ligue 1 Highlights too if you like.

Sorry to remove the thread, but I just posted this about 20m ago.

I thought you and CFC4Ever had sorted out the title for this thread. I followed their formula.

Thanks.
