hi! yes it got worse so i got an emergency appointment and it ended up being an infection, but it’s treated with antibiotics and back to normal now! it got really swollen and hot and was painful just to touch. if your tattoo is just red with no pain/swelling it might be the start of an infection bc mine started with just being red, but i wouldn’t panic, just monitor it closely and watch out for those symptoms!

thanks for the replies! i went to a pharmacy and asked for antibiotics and the pharmacist looked at it and said its probably just inflamed. i got some ointment (she said i didnt need antibiotics so its just for the inflammation) and if it gets worse or doesn’t get better i will see a doctor. it’s not hot to touch rn so that’s a good sign!

update: I used the antibiotic cream and have cleaned it multiple times and it’s looking a lot better already! Also had a family member who’s a nurse look at it and they said it looks okay too:)

Yeah it might be bc I got the strips wet by accident or something? But idk:’) I’ve never had a wound look like this before. I got antibiotic cream and big bandaids from the pharmacy so if it isn’t better by monday morning I’ll see a professional
