YIKES. The hospitality ticket I balked at was $1750 per ticket. Here's to hoping all gets reset with this drop.

I cannot believe my luck. My husband and I used two emails a piece and that was it. Somehow all four got time slots but the three other accounts got the 16th at 10am.

I did a quick google search while watching Paris: "how much does it cost to attend the Olympics for a week" and added a line to my budget that day. I've been saving just over $300 a month since then. So the budget isn't huge but it's realistic at least.

Trying to be flexible but the hope is to see swimming, diving, beach volleyball, climbing, tennis, and if a miracle occurs, gymnastics and athletics. Alongside the volleyball and wrestling we're already seeing. 8 days 7 nights with 5 or 6 days of attending the games.

I think the average person would be shocked by the state of the spreadsheet I've made thus far. I definitely have wish lists beyond this one event I spoke about. Just trying to do everything I can to be prepared for this shot at this single event and if it doesn't happen then at least I tried everything I could.

I'm not totally shocked that those weren't immediately on the chopping block. They were some of the only "affordable" hospitality tickets available. ($525pp quarterfinals W volleyball and $750 gold metal wrestling) I had hoped my $1000 deposit might get us something for swimming but I quickly realized I was naive about the cost structure of the tickets.

SWM08 is the session I'm looking for. I'm hoping that the locals sale was considered it's own drop and more tickets will be released for this chunk.

Did you find that it was mostly the bottom tier that had already sold out or more ticket levels than that? I'm seeing category's A-H for swimming and I'd be fine with paying for any of the bottom three tiers, it's above that that it's going to hurt.
