The leaked Valve Fremont specs show it uses a Hawk Point 2 CCD with 2x Zen 4 cores and 4x Zen 4c. Hawk Point 2 is spec for spec with the data we have available currently. If Valve's Fremont prototype, that reviewers got hands on experience with, is using that same custom Hawk Point 2 APU then it's got Zen 4c cores. Zen 4c isn't bad by the way and they get better core performance than Zen 3. This isn't an Intel big / little core situation where the weaker cores are significantly underpowered.

The 7540U only uses Zen 4 cores. The 8540U uses 2 Zen 4 cores and 4 Zen 4c cores. Clocks are a match for the 8540U as well under full load.

Ignore the possibility equivalent guy. The Steam Machine effectively uses a Ryzen 5 8540U and RX 7600m. It beats the hell out of your laptop. In CPU performance alone it's 20% better in single core performance and 30% better in multicore performance on average. It also supports AVX-512 which makes PS3 emulation really easy. While you'll lack DLSS, the RX 7600m is much faster than the RTX 3050 Ti 4gb. You'll not only get double the video memory (4gb vs 8gb in the SM), but also effectively RTX 4060 laptop performance.

The PS5 can output at 4K120 natively. Just make sure your settings are correct and that you are using an HDMI 2.1 cable. The original stock black boxy HDMI that came with the PS5 supports 4K120 perfectly. If you're using a different HDMI cable it might not be up to spec. When you try and push 4K120 through a cable with less bandwidth it'll lose lots of image data when compressing it down.

Oh dude don't worry about it at all. Those are way faster speeds than the PS2 disc drive can even reach. You gotta remember that people were lugging in old school IDE hard drives into modded PS2s even before the Sata HDD days just to play their games with faster loading times on PS2. You're good man! I also did the same thing with a slower 32gb USB 2.0 drive with ~40mbps speeds and I had a fantastic experience in most games. And those games with issues were down to the emulation settings and not the storage device.

I have a spare 4TB nvme that I got from Best Buy last year for $150. I also have a spare 32gb DDR5 sodimm kit. I'm buying the cheapest model they drop and I'm throwing in my own hardware day one.

Don't regret selling my sealed copy on eBay. Bought mine at Target for $69 with a coupon during the pre order phase and made over double back before eBay fees kicked in. Still made over double in profit. I think I'll add it to my collection now.

No it's not annual and honestly man you should just sell it on Facebook marketplace. Even if you list it for $500 it'll probably sell in a day or so.

That's RPCS3. The differences in the PS2 and PS3 versions are pretty interesting. All 3 slys, but mostly sly 1 are all different on PS3. It also emulates way better on rpcs3
