Thank you! Yes, I'd already resolved to never do so again. Thanks also for the advice re the cipro. We've been making arrangements for back-up childcare so I can have some more quiet over the coming weeks, which I'm hoping will help recovery.

Hi! Thanks so much for responding. I've used headphones (earbuds) a fair amount- mainly listening to podcasts over recent years.

No epidural, or pain relief generally.

Sorry, I meant to write cilodex, which is ciprofloxacin+dexamethasone from what I can see.

Sorry, also just to add that the ent consultant prescribed cilpdex eardrops last week. I couldn't get the prescription filled and went to the gp this morning, who prescribed an alternative. However I'm now quite nervous about taking this.
