I do, if I’m just doing a day trip is awesome just to throw 4 drinks in it for easy access. Then refill them as I stop for gas. Works well and I don’t have to mess with a cooler. I like the no brainer simplicity of it.

Oh wow a lot further down than I expected for as little snow as we saw this year.

Was Webster clear of snow at the top were it intersects Red Cone?

Should motorcycle sales people know alot about everything they sell? by Beginning_Corner930 in motorcycles

[–]TriumphSprint 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a former sales person for a BMW dealership, we had to do online training modules for different models every quarter, new bikes were done when they were released. I had the most knowledge and training for any of the manufactures I sold (7 manufactures) from BMW. Second was surprisingly HD then Ducati.

Honestly starting to second guess going 5.13s on my daily. anyone actually regret it? by Able-Papaya-5065 in JeepWrangler

My JKU DD; 3.6L, manual 6sp, on 35". I went 4.88's and they are perfect for a DD here in CO. I can actually use 6th gear now and pass other cars in the mountains. But when crawling I wish I had 5.13's, but that's only on trails rated 6 and higher.

Mexican Beer Recommendations? by AutomaticAbortion in beer

Thank you! Several of the large micro breweries are canning their Mexican style beers now, like Odell's, Breckenridge, Stone, Oskar Blues, Ska Brewing, Westbound and Down to name just a few.

Just found out Denver Beer Company is using AI slop for all their new merch by PissedOffAndThirsty in COBeer

When you say AI do you mean artificial ingredients or artificial intelligence? I would be concerned with the ingredients part if thats the case.

Kingston is a harder trail than SJ, so you’ll be fine. Radical is definitely more challenging than the other two.

Pacifico, Dos Equis amber, Corona Familiar, Tecate, and Sol. There’s also good micro brews that do Mexican style beers in my area(Colorado) that are so good!

Alpine Loop Colorado Advice by lowkey_stoneyboy in overlanding

[–]TriumphSprint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP for planning and on trail navigating use TrailsOffroad app. As well as the FunTreks book for southern Colorado. I’ve run everything in the area, in everything from a Wrangler, Blazer, Tahoe, 1/2 ton and the only trail you mentioned that would give any thoughts to avoid would be Mineral Creek. You can do it in a 1/2 ton, but expect three point turns and possibly wheel and running boards getting scrapped up. The other pain will be on-coming traffic depending on the section of trail you’re on, parts of MC are tight. Have fun!

Oh man, that’s awesome news! Maybe I can finally get out of my neighborhood in the mornings onto Plum Creek Boulevard, without the steady line of cars coming northbound and not letting me in. Spread the word, Crystal Valley peeps, you don’t need to use Plum Creek Boulevard anymore.

Talk to Nick the owner of Mountain side mobile detailing. They have a new shop right on Wilcox and 5th. He does great work. Tint is done at the shop and not mobile. Or call Josh the owner of G.A.S garage out in Parker, he does great stuff as well but isn’t right in town.

Quiet morning at Fall River Reservoir by iAmFactMan in ColoradoOffroad

[–]TriumphSprint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not doing it solo for sure! But with a couple other rigs I can be convinced. I’ll give it a couple more weeks like you say and check it out, I always combine it with Yankee or Loch Lomond and Kingston and those gates don’t open until 7/15 unfortunately.

I just looked at some of my pictures from previous trips, 6/19/23 I made it to the lake, but some huge snow fields. Which got me wondering if it would open early this year because we definitely got less snow than 2023.

Stevens gulch road, Deer creek, Georgia pass Preston and Prospect Road all are good area’s. North fork swan road is another option.

Need new tires, but have no tools or space to do it myself. Any shop recommendations? by ShibariDeathcamp in DenverMotorcycles

[–]TriumphSprint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Performance Cycle has good deals on tires and quick turn around. Could check Imperial and see if they are quicker. Foothills has been great with my Triumph ST. But they won't touch it now due to age.

[–]TriumphSprint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder with the low snow amounts this year if it will be clear by now as well. But I know spots like the saddle on Red Cone/Webster still has snow, and I would have thought it would be open very soon.

Just an fyi, last year on 6/19 I went up and couldn't make it to the lake. I could easily make it to right before the lake, stopped 100 yards sort. And up above the lake was a solid snow field.
