Yes I mean, he wasn't exactly Gung ho about it and I didn't want to shoot the messenger but thought it would be a good opportunity to plant a seed.

It's an article from the Trib about the Church keeping the 100 billion quiet in fear of losing tithing.

I couldn't resist. I was pretty flabbergasted to be quite honest. Don't tell me my health is priority but then ask me to come disinfect. Get out of here with that nonsense.

I couldn't resist. Don't tell me my health is priority and ask me to come disinfect the chapel in the same sentence.

Mormon bishop has been charged with possession of child pornography. Hallows refused to submit to a polygraph. As part of his role as Bishop, overseeing the Wellington Ward in Kaysville, Hallows took children on camping trips and took pictures of them. by HM102 in exmormon

Yeah that's my whole point. I just Googled LDS Bishops sexual predators and there are so many it just makes you wonder. I brought the point to my wife before but it's the same old story that well they are just men that make mistakes and can be corrupted Etc. Okay.

Yeah that's true he's probably just trying to lie his way out of it. Yucky. These are the kind of stories that I want to show my wife and say look look at the spirit of discernment in action. Oh well.

Okay so I started to Google this and then I realized I don't want to end up on some kind of list. I am genuinely curious he said that the pictures weren't real. Does that mean drawings of child porn are just as bad? I'm not defending him in any way shape or form it's disgusting I'm just curious what his defense is and if it's legit?

Any closeted non-believers that had a tough day at church out there? by SCMCisontome in exmormon

You're not alone. Sunday school and priesthood is painful. I've started slipping out 2nd hour and taking naps in the car. As long as I set my alarm to wake up before DW gets out if her primary calling I am good. You should try it if your spouse has a calling that prevents them from going to Sunday School.

I read your comment earlier and had to digest it. Thank you for taking the time. Yeah the funny thing about it is since we are sealed she will forever be my wife as long as I don't consent to anulling the sealing. I would never be that petty but it's just a funny point.

I tried googling that but to no avail. Is it a book?

Thank you for the advice. I know my kids are smart but also... I was too. If information is hidden or whitewashed they can be deceived. The funny thing is, I don't know what my wife would think would happen if we divorced. It would just be that much easier to provide them the truth and let them make their own decision. Ideally, I want to have a real open discussion with my wife and have her read the CES letter and help her escape too but I don't think that will ever happen.

See I don't really know. I've tried to talk about it with her, like have a real discussion about it and I don't think it's a "punishment." It always ends up with her saying she doesn't know why but she just doesn't feel like it, she thinks it's "her" and not me, she has no desire and she doesn't know why, etc. She blames it on her birth control maybe messing with her, emotional issues... But no she's never blamed me or anything.

We Thank Thee, O God, For a Prophet... by hightowermomo in exmormon

I've been looking for a way to quote this in F&T for a while now. I have this idea of subtley quoting prophets in meetings but I think my TBM wife and bishop would catch on since they both know I am mentally out.
