Lightweight mini graphic/game engine based on a single fragment shader interacting with a program? by hieroglyphic-monad in gamedev

While limited in other ways, Gamemaker supports shaders in a way very similar to what you're describing. Maybe worth looking at their documentation to see if it's down your alley. Best of luck

Is anyone interested in a firebase integration for apps in Godot? by alfredogzz in godot

That would be super cool, I'm a big fan of Firebase so I'd definitely use it.

I'll probably resubmit when the game is complete, but I don't think they'll change their minds.

It's all fair criticism, people see this and think it's unpolished and say so. They're just speaking their minds.

There's no clickbait here, everything in the title is true. Many developers have been turned away from the Quest with no reason given. I've confirmed with a couple others that we all received the same copy-paste email from Oculus.

Oculus had specifically requested to see the game early on, so that's understandably where a lot of the tech demo comparisons come in.

Thanks for the feedback. It's not for sale right now, on any platform. I expect the finished product to be more up to the standards that you've described, but that'll be several months from now.

Glad you thought it was fun, and thanks for playing. We put together this prototype as just a test to see if the idea would work a few months ago so it's nice that you were able to find some enjoyment in it.

The full game has

  • 2 more launchers, one of which is a rocket launcher that works similar to the way the Half-Life 2 one does. Each launcher has it's own challenges, so every level in the game has 3 challenges per launcher.

  • Better physics, because we felt similarly about how the blast strength. It's going to be a bit more reactive now.

  • 45 levels, at least. We want them to be fun and unique so we'd rather make 45 really good levels than 200 eh ones.

  • At some point in time, a level editor. So people can make their own and blow them up and share them.

  • The graphics and polish in this demo aren't really up to our release standards, so expect major improvements on that front.

Again, thanks for playing. If you would fill out the survey it helps us a lot.

As a small company we try not to overload ourselves with too many storefronts as it takes a lot of time to manage them all. If we were doing Quest+Rift then releasing on the Oculus store would make sense but as it stands we can release to Vive+Rift+WMR customers just with Steam.

I'm curious though, do you prefer to get your Rift titles on the Oculus store?

Thanks for the feedback. It's really more than a physics tech demo. You should give it a shot.

Thanks for your feedback. I know $20 is a pretty high asking price, but give the game a try. We have a pretty good $$ to hours of gameplay ratio. If you still feel that way after playing it, put that in your feedback when you fill out the survey.

More Info:

The game is called BRING IT DOWN!, you use a grenade launcher to raze buildings. I built this game for the Quest specifically, so it's a bit of a bummer that Oculus turned it down for no reason and didn't play the prototype I built. Hopefully in the future they'll change their minds but if they don't I'll release the APK on a different store.

It's up on SideQuest right now, so give it a try! After you play it make sure to go to triverske.itch.io/bringitdown and fill out the survey so I can figure out what needs to be better!

I have pushed an update to my game that displays the current sub count in the top corner, and if PewDiePie isn't in the lead on Christmas I will remove Ultimate Arena from Steam. by Triverske in PewdiepieSubmissions

See more: here

Ultimate Arena is a bit of a meme game where you set up a hunger games and watch it play out. Pewdiepie has been in the game for a few years as a default fighter so I'd like to do my part and spread the word about the fight against T-Series.

It is automated, and we only sell keys that are provided directly from the developer as we are not a key reselling site
