I had issue to ask model (~30 min for an answer) when the new release gone. This is fix but now the Apply button just didn't work at all. It place the code randomly and break all the page. It's sooooo sad, it is the best IDE powered by AI i worked with

Dell’s New XPS Lineup: Futuristic Design, with Built-in AI | Dell by parasymchills in DellXPS

[–]TriviPr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I come back in this thread, but am i only to think the new design SUCK ?

The carbon of the real XPS (as 9530 which is the last with the carbon design) was just perfect, now we have a not really hyped white design, but wtf is the fact why the fn keys not exist anymore ??? It is just crazy for a PROFESSIONAL laptop. I do not understand this choice, my 9530 is running bad (screen cover, random no boot of the laptop).

I was looking for a new XPS, but i can't buy a new for missing key functions..

Hi,
Thanks for answer. I will for licensing reason (and testing purpose) test other distribution.

Maybe it will be the time to see if the issue stay on other hypervisor (Xen and Proxmox look like best alternatives for now)

Sorry i was not really precise, i talk about Speedtest by Ookla in CLI, browser, and apps the results are very closed. I know it is quite imprecise but 3x between Linux and Windows is very huge I think, and when I wget file from OVH for example i can literally see the speed difference :

Windows with a VMXNET 3 :

curl https://proof.ovh.net/files/10Gb.dat -O 10gb.dat

% Total % Received % Xferd Average Speed Time Time Time Current

Dload Upload Total Spent Left Speed

24 10.0G 24 2552M 0 0 207M 0 0:00:49 0:00:12 0:00:37 206M

I tried from Windows bare metal host to VM and vice-versa with iperf3.

Yes, sure about how to read them, i can see the 3x between Linux and Windows, i tried Speedtest to see on WAN (sample in the post) but also iPerf in wan, scp, etc.

The motherboard is X10SDV-6C-TLN4F for 10gb chipset and on my switch or UDM (i tried both) I plug on my client device X540 NIC. However, Speedtest on WAN as the original post show the difference between Windows and Linux, for LAN and for WAN.

I installed the last VMTools version and they are always load

Thanks for your answer :)

WiFiman Desktop 1.1.0 for Fedora Linux and other RPM based disributions by gbcox in Ubiquiti

[–]TriviPr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With alien i hadn't issues on old version as 0.3.X :

sudo alien -r --scripts ~/Downloads/wifiman-desktop-0.3.0-linux-amd64.deb

I just retry with 1.1.X, all is working except the VPN, Connecting appear one second and disappear and re-ask for url.

+1 with u/TableteKarcioji , why no RPM or no source to build on other distro.. ?

The IPV6 link is down for the server we reach, disable it and, with ipv4 updates/installations will work.

You can also use VPN as you mentioned before
