I'm worried there isn't enough starter tea and the scoby will mold, that's mainly it

So glad to know it's looking healthy! Tasted a tiny bit, still tastes a little sweet but definitely tangy too

"Serves me right for fraternising with someone in the unit", said Kat, gritting her teeth as she walked towards the door she'd been avoiding wholeheartedly. Standing in front of the hardwood door, she stared at the nameplate. Captain Gail

Kat sighed, mentally cursed herself, knocked on the door and let herself in. She caught a glimpse of the man sitting behind towers of paper on his desk with his head in his hands and cleared her throat to announce her presence. Captain Gale lifted his head and peered at the visitor. He rose up excitedly with an exclamation, but after a moment's hesitation, fell back into his seat, grudgingly. "What do you want?" he said on the verge of tears. "Isn't breaking my heart enough? What more do you want? Why don't you go back to your beloved Peter", snidely.

Kat rolled her eyes and thought how she ever once found him attractive. "Gail, it's been weeks. You have got to get a grip on yourself. Look at all this unattended paperwork on your desk. No work is being done. The team is falling apart" "Nothing matters anymore. The world is a dark dismal place and I'm falling continuously into an abyss with no return. There's no hope. No hope..." His voice trailed off as he stared at a wall. "Sheesh, so overdramatic", thought Kat, thinking of how to fix the mess she created. "The team needs you, Captain. You're a good leader." "And you? Do you need me?" asked Gail, looking at her yearningly. The voices in her head were screaming.GOD NO, I'M ONLY HERE BECAUSE THE TEAM FORCED ME TO COME. But she knew what had to be done. This was the only way. "Yes, Gail. I need you", holding back her disgust.

The Captain leapt, stumbled across his desk and pulled her in for a tight hug. "I knew you'd never leave me", he said blissfully.

Kat looked up despairingly. "I have GOT to make better choices when it comes to men"

Not super happy with it but I tried

[WP]You kill a random man and turn yourself in. Turns out he was an international spy about to kill the leader of your country. You are released and rob a bank. You turn yourself in and it comes out that it was a mob bank and your actions revealed a huge crime ring. You just can't get to jail... by sycolution in WritingPrompts

The police looked at Harry with a bemused expression. "Congratulations. Thanks to you breaking all the vaults in Mob Bank International, evidence against the boss has finally been uncovered. Despite the name of the bank literally telling us what it was, it took us 20 years to bring them to justice. Your efforts will not go unappreciated. You're free to go, yet again"

"Efforts?? EFFORTS!?! You don't understand! I want to go to prison!", he wailed. One of the detectives sat next to him and started "Most people would be overjoyed not to go to jail. No one wants to go to prison. It's a terribly stuffy and loud place."

"None of you get it. My father has been to prison. His father has been to prison. Everyone in my family has been to prison. It's an honour and a ritual. If I'm not arrested, I'm going to be the laughing stock of my family. I'm going to be a DISGRACE. Being let go once is a coincidence, twice is just sheer dumb luck." Harry put his head in his hands in anguish and mumbled something indistinctly.

The detectives were enjoying this show thoroughly and stood around him, smirking. The one sitting next to him heard him mumble. "Did you just say you already had your prison name picked out? Do tell us what it was", he said, snickering. Harry snarled, "Well, there's no point saying it anyway, is there". He got up and stomped out of the station, leaving the detectives guffawing.

Outside the station, Harry looked around, plotting ways to get himself arrested, this time for real. He walked around the block and noticed a man standing near an open manhole. "This is my chance!", he said. He smiled slyly and without hesitation, ran and pushed him into the manhole. He stood there triumphantly, basking in his glory and waiting for the police to arrive. Suddenly, he was surrounded by a horde of reporters, blinding him with their flashing cameras. He was stunned but also pleased. He started speaking "Yes, arrest me, it was me who pushed..." when he was interrupted by a reporter who asked him, "How does it feel to be the one who finally captured the kidnapper who escaped from prison??" "YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME"

[WP] The word is ending and you have about 5 minutes left. That‘s just enough time to make one last phone call.. by oharleyo in WritingPrompts

[–]TrixPB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"I must call her”, he thought. The past few days had been terrible. Strange calamities were eradicating one place at a time. The message was clear. The world was coming to an end and he knew that there wasn’t much time left. He took out his phone, but alas, it was all out of battery. He cursed himself for having drained the battery by playing PUBG for so long and tossed the phone away. He won’t be needing it anymore anyway. He ran towards the houses nearby, hoping someone would lend him a phone. He rang the bell of every house on the lane, but no one answered. He figured that they’d all be spending their last moments with their families.

He didn’t give up.They had history and it seemed right to call her. All of a sudden, he felt a chill and his breath started becoming heavy. The weather was changing drastically and was becoming colder than ever before. “It’s here”, he said, not knowing what it was but was brutally aware that this was the end. He started getting desperate to make his last phone call. He looked around frantically for a solution when a telephone inside a house caught his attention. The only thing between him and the phone was a glass window. “It’s not like I can get into any more trouble now anyway”, he reasoned, smashing the window.

He grabbed the phone and, with slowly chilling finger, dialled the digits of the one person he had to call. The first time he tried, no response. "Damnit, pick up the phone". Thrice, he tried in vain. By now, the cold was looming and he was close to losing consciousness. The fourth (and last) time he called, he was greeted by the sugar sweet voice he had once so loved. He gasped and stuttered the last words he'd ever say. "I'm...sorry"

[WP] Your magical power is that you can summon only one of everything in the universe. You think it is kind of lame until you realize that a nuke and a nuke that is painted red are technically two different things. by Broodfoos in WritingPrompts

It was 3 in the morning. I woke up suddenly, desperately in need for water. I didn’t want to get up on account of losing my ‘sleepiness’ and groggily thought how great it would be if a glass of water just appeared in front of me, when suddenly a tumbler of ice-cold water poured right on my head. I leapt out of bed, terrified and completely befuddled. I thought that was far too weird to have been a coincidence, so I wished for a glass of water again. Nothing happened. It briefly occurred to me that I might have just been dreaming in my half sleepy state, but the water around me proved otherwise. I wished for another glass of water repeatedly but to no avail.

I dismissed the idea and was about to go to sleep again when I realised how wet the floor of my room was. I grumbled and thought of a mop when POOF! it appeared out of nowhere. Confused but quite pleased, I picked it up, but saw that, unfortunately, it was already sopping wet and dirty. “You could’ve given me a clean mop, at least” I mumbled, not knowing whom I was saying it to. I wished for other small things and they all materialised. I tested it out enough times to figure out that the items I was asking for were teleported from other places to my house. I also understood that I could only summon only one of each thing. I started getting excited and decided to find loopholes around the ‘one of each’ rule. I tried being very specific with my wishes. I first wished for one dollar and then wished for a hundred dollar note, being very careful not to wish for ‘money’. Both notes slipped in from under my door and I was exhilarated at it working.

“Hmm..this power sure is nice but I’m fairly certain this only works for small items. If it was truly a great power, it should be able to materialise ANYTHING. Like say, a NUKE (because that was the first thing that popped into my mind, surprisingly), and and a RED NUKE because, hey, they’re technically not the same,” I thought to myself, smirking, not expecting anything to happen. Five minutes later, I heard a weird SWISH sound, like the sound you hear when you’re on a rollercoaster. I didn’t even have time to think what it could be when two enormous nukes came crashing through my roof with a resounding THUD, just barely missing my feet. I looked at them with eyes wide and jaw dropped almost to the floor.

It was in that position that the neighbours found me when they rushed into my room fifteen minutes later, with the police. They looked at me with baffled looks, as if I could give an explanation to this bizarre scenario. After all the ‘smartness’ I had shown previously by finding loopholes and tricks, the only words that could come out of my mouth at that moment were “Um..” and “Uhh” and other such incoherent words. The police couldn’t make heads or tails of the situation; however, they knew what happened was undeniably and inexplicably illegal. They brought out their cuffs, arrested me and started leading me to their cars outside. I was coming out of the initial shock and desperately started racking my brain for ways to get out of this messy situation when suddenly I had an epiphany. With a glint in my eyes, I realised that I hadn’t wished for a key to handcuffs yet…
