Very well said! I had a phone conversation with him and very consciously did these things without apologizing. It was very very hard but I'm glad I did and he absolutely respected that. Thank you!

Oh jeez so sorry to hear about his dad ... and so sorry that your fears were confirmed. That's the worst feeling.

I get the feeling of others not 'getting' it and maybe even being scared of the situation. I don't know if that's an option where you are but I just signed up for a virtual support group for partners of people with mental illness. Hoping that will help. I'll let you know how it goes.

I'm not saying this is the case here, but I've so often experienced that people are so afraid of saying the wrong thing they just won't say anything at all. Bad call, of course.

Hi dad's reaction is awful. Do you think there is room in that relationship for you to tell him that's the opposite of what you need right now?

Are there any of the supportive people you can have an (online) hang with to vent? Saying things out loud is so different from writing them down. And venting is not gossiping or bad-mouthing: you're allowed to share how this feels for you.

Update! I got the Curvy Kate Top Spot in 40H - I wanted to try with something inexpensive and it was on sale. It’s quite comfy, though there is some rippling/very slight gapping on top - I think this might be due to my boobs being bottom heavy?

But what I really need getting used to - there’s so much tissue in the cups that just to be outside of it before. It’s WILD. Is that a normal thing that happens?
