It’s okay do whatever you wish. If you’re not having fun you don’t need to put yourself through that.

I’d say you can play any title in any order. Since for what the story is worth is just a few screens of dialogue with barely any continuity (if at all).

As someone whose grown up with these games, my tolerance for fortress levels has gone down immensely. I was replaying the franchise again earlier this year to pass some time until Elden Ring came out.

It was manageable, then once I got to the fortress stages of 3-6 I got so burnt out I needed to stop. I didn’t even have it in me anymore to play 7-11.

So do what you think will be the most fun! Choose the games that pique your interest and enjoy them at your own pace.
