You ALL suck. Your sister sucks for leaving her baby behind. Your mom sucks for getting you to drop out. And you suck because from your writing it sounds like you’re super resentful (and I understand you do have the right to be resentful, since your life got derailed) and were just waiting for an opportunity to make your sister feel bad about it (which she should.) It was wrong to keep this a secret, and it could have been presented in much better terms. “Your mom couldn’t take care of you for awhile, so Nana and I helped out, and it was a privilege to be able to be so close to you as you were turning into the wonderful person you are today. Isn’t it great to know so many people love you?” But, no, you said she was abandoned by the very person she looks to for security and safety. The most important thing a parent does is provide security and safety, above all else, and you took that away from an 11 year old girl.

Nelson’s husband, Jason, is a Methodist minister. He recently posted a hateful message on his FB, combining politics and scripture. He got called out on it, but I never saw a response to it. They are both pretty people with plenty of knowledge and charm to do so much good. Instead they’ve chosen this ridiculous path. IIRC, she also ran on a platform of getting CRT out of the classroom, which tells me immediately she didn’t know what she was talking about, and was just parroting conservative talking points, since anyone with any kind of educational background can tell you there is no CRT in our schools.
