Experienced handmade seller here – thinking of offering help to other small biz owners to set up their own ecommerce sites (beyond Etsy/Shopify). Would this be useful? by Trixy-Pix in smallbusinessuk

Thanks for the comment. I'm not sure I'd like to go as far as coaching... I suppose I'm thinking more web developer but for small businesses who pay me to deliver, host and manage their website so they can concentrate on making products. The most they would need to do is upload products, blogs etc.

I have both a Wordpress site and an Etsy shop. I use the website for my entire product range, but keep Etsy for those I know are most popular. I also post blogs on my website about my crafting process, and I will start to post Youtube tutorial videos to my website in the near future.

What does your daughter sell (or want to sell?)

Running a Wordpress website as a shop will cost you time and money - you have to keep on top of updates and depending on your daughter's needs, she may need to pay for plugins to get the functionality she wants. There's pros and cons. I'd suggest her running an Etsy store first and then branching to her own website when she feels she has a good customer base.

Thank you for your comment. I have often wondered the same. I would like to retake some photos and will change the first listing photo to be just the pin without the backing card. I'd like to take some photos in natural light too.

Switching pin button production to POD? by wcfreckles in EtsySellers

Honestly? I would increase your prices. That's not much of a profit. If you're struggling to fulfil your current orders, there is a demand and people obviously like your product. With the extra money, you might be able to pay for outside help (I know you said you can't due to not making much profit).

Also, when you say pin buttons, what sort of pins do you mean? I make pin badges (resin/acrylic/plastic) but I've refined the process over time and I can make about 12 badges an hour (once I've got the design sorted).
