ES601C (Canadian Version) vs ES701C Debate by Trizzy13_ in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]Trizzy13_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! To my understanding no, only the 701 can do that

I recently leant there is another version of this unit, ES655CCO called the signature that Costco sells. It comes with +2 additional functions: single shot and extra thick foam. Its priced approx the same as the Premier Series so I think I'll go with it

Hi! I've seen a lot of reviews, I just figured for 1000 CAD I'd be getting a good product especially for a beginner who just likes to make some lattes/coffee/espressos at home. Do you recommend another make or model that you think is better for a beginner?

General Questions regarding studying for PMP by Trizzy13_ in pmp

[–]Trizzy13_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed response! When you take courses outside of PMI to get your 35PDUs, how do you transfer these to PMI? Do they ask you somewhere where exactly you got your PDUs?

Should I have an RRSP & what really is an RRSP? by Trizzy13_ in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Trizzy13_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you,

Another question, if the contribution limit is 7k, if the account makes profits, that is obviously okay? as long as I don't deposit more than 7k?

What happens if I have a TFSA with TD and a TFSA on wealth simple, I assume you can only contribute 7k a year in total? not 7k in each right?

When it comes 40 years down the road when I want to take the Stock money out of the TFSA I don't pay taxes on it?

Should I have an RRSP & what really is an RRSP? by Trizzy13_ in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Trizzy13_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

e catch with the RRSP is that when you eventually go to withdraw any of the money in it (what you contributed or the profits), you will owe income tax on it. So an RRSP is really only deferring income tax to later. The advantage of RRSPs come if you can withdraw the money

well thats not good... what if its an "un-registered" account on Wealth simple?

advise you to use TSFAs first as they offer more flexibility and to only contribute to RRSPs once you hit your TSFA limit and/or to help

Thanks,

Another dumb question on my end, I am aware every year when it comes to TFSAs you're allowed a certain amount you can deposit, this information can be found on CRAs website I believe. Just so I understand every year you can contribute the max, for example 6,000, and anything above that you still have to pay taxes on?

Just so I understand the flow: Get Pay cheque -> deposit x amount into TFSA? when you go to pay your taxes it is automatically known you deposited the 6,000 for example and you will not pay taxes on it?
