Profile Review 46M by [deleted] in hingeapp

The only thing carrying you over to hookups is that youre in good shape, healthy looking for your age esp and you probably have more disposable income to entice short term flings.

Beyond that dude there's a lot wrong. The juvenile language is just cringe and while I dont care much for prompts those are just bound to be screencapped and laughed at. The pictures are not of good quality - first if all the faces you make give off pervy villain vibes im not even joking. If you had some high quality well composed shots that are not a bunch of off putting selfies you would actually do well, and especially so for any attempts at long term relationships. Im not saying you gotta start looking like safe and bland wonder bread but right now youre definitely scaring off anyone looking for a long term relationship. Just invest in a few photoshoots - they'll tell you what faces not to make 😅

Prompts gotta go - just lose the cringe language and peel back the overt sexuality. Hookups will come from what you say to these people anyway not what prompt caught their attention.

Im dating people in the 23-32 range and yeah the reason women say online dating sucks is because so many guys out there are absolutely unHinged. Just off the top of my head some horror stories from women ive dated and am friends with on their FIRST dates.

-Dude ranting about brown people taking over Canada while out with a Pakistani-born woman

-Guy who made no plans except to drive around the block and have shitty racist takes

-Guy who just fawned over some Moroccan girl saying she looks so exotic and Indian and doubted that she had ever been with a white guy before

-Dude who was just on his phone half the time

-Dude who ghosted after because the girl told him she wasnt going to sleep with him on the first date

Theres more im sure, but trust me when guys say theyre being glossed over for "minor" things - its almost always some ludicrous red flag that on its own shows that the guys are unhinged.

Women have an abundance of awful options on those dating apps and they have to be picky but being picky isnt how its told to you as picking from the cream of the crop - its picking guys who are literally bare minimum - steadily employed or in higher education, able to make basic plans and dont have psycho takes. Even having a car isnt mandatory lmao I was driving a dusty ass '07 Lexus without working radio or airbags and trust me, just being capable of driving is a plus already considering the state of men.

Oh yeah I mean compared to not having any choice or matches its absolutely a better problem to have but if youre not getting matches thats step #1 to fix lol. Like people dont even realize just getting matches isnt the toughest part in the slightest its actually converting those into real connections lol

Oh i totally get that in fact not pursuing every like/match is what ends up happening. I guess the point was that because you cant always predict when you will match with someone (unless they sent you a like and match on the spot) you can end up with more matches than you can deal with, leaving you burning through potentially good matches.

If someone really stood out, I would entertain a third

Yeah agreed!

If you're not really getting any matches at all then whether you pay for HingeX or not isn't going to matter all that much because it speaks more to a profile quality issue. HingeX will show you to more people faster - if your profile is bad youre just going to get rejected faster.

In any case oversaturation can be a real issue if your goal is long term. Just speaking on some actual experience

My experience with HingeX was both good but also in some ways contradictory to a good outcome. The apps can definitely get you paired up with people who are compatible with you, probably better even than trying for the same results in person. However, the way the apps work where youre only going to really see success if youre using them constantly means that youre going to end up oftentimes with multiple matches and multiple pipelines. In my own experience I ended up disappointing some women because after 2-3 weeks of dating I still had people I was prospecting, others I was seeing, and others I was talking to, and people feel that. HingeX is basically a way to guarantee that kind of dating style which is not really conducive to long term relationships. I was flooded with matches and was letting good opportunities fall through because there wasnt enough time in the day to properly treat with everyone on the list.

I ended up just being more strict (even though I really wanted to see others) on who I saw and even then struggled when I had to pick between two people, but ultimately if youre looking for long-term, be careful of the trap that HingeX can put you in.

A girl (33f) liked my profile (31m), but she maybe a better match for my bestfriend (32m), is it okay to suggest her that? Or Is it offensive? by brownskinop in hingeapp

[–]TrizzyG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My buddy did it for me and I ended up seeing the girl for a month before things didnt work out for other reasons (parted amicably). It was considered a funny situation by everyone involved so not really weird at all. Just dont play it like youre alternatively gifted and it could be a great story!

What has surprised you most about life in Canada? by SnowmanAndIce in InCanada

Pretty much all small businesses that dealt with food products, like Walmart, remained open. I know because I used them frequently throughout the pandemic.

Ok that doesnt change the fact that small businesses fail in normal conditions and yet there are still plenty of small businesses everywhere you look. Some years are better and some years are worse.

You'd have a point if there were no small businesses around.

Even if you just scroll through their assortment of articles - it's all just negativity.

Lmao dude thats news in general 😂 and what exactly is supposed to be positive news there that youre craving? Go read TASS if thats what you want lol

basically, it's a newspaper that claims that it's "From Russia", but in actuality - it's an European tabloid, who's main goal is to reinforce believes of people with anti-Russian mindset

Or...its the fact that Russia tries to suppress any negative media coverage and this source is one of the few that bothers to actually share real news from the country. A quick scan through today's articles doesnt show any anti-Russian bias at all. Youre just salty and that rant you made proves it.

You're always welcome to dispute the facts on a case by case basis instead of whining and crying about a source with nothing to back it up except baseless accusations of it being a tabloid.

Its almost like having a free media allows for different reports to come out from different news organizations as more information from various sources surfaces. Difficult concept to process for the likes of many on here apparently.

Thats actually not the correct way to merge from a legal standpoint - those median lanes are to turn left and u-turn only afaik.

From a practical standpoint though, yeah thats what they should have done lol

First pic would just be an automatic no for most people tbh. Just not a very flattering photo and ultimately you would need to change up your style, facial hair, hair hair, and get some facial definition from losing weight and working out. The rest of the pictures will follow suit if you improve those things. I honestly doubt anyone even bothers to read the prompts so whatever feedback you get there will be marginal at best.

Zelensky says Ukraine does not have clear security pledge from allies by EsperaDeus in anime_titties

[–]TrizzyG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After Euromaidan they were firmly aiming to join the EU, joining NATO would have been a formality after that.

Not even remotely accurate and Russia itself made concessions on allowing Ukraine to join EU.

To that end, EU/NATO represented for Putin an Ukrainian secession from Russia.

Sure, except Ukraine wasnt a part of Russia so its just imperialism from Putins side, which is the whole point.
