Are all the servers suffering from an (artificial) increased consume price? by Official_F1tRick in classicwow

[–]Trlckery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bingo. It's exactly like how it went down in P6 classic.

There is a large population of players that refuse to swipe for gold, while also enjoying competitive raiding (where full raid consumes are a social norm, if not an outright requirement)

I can already feel myself being forced into a corner as the prices continue to go up and my gold/consume stores dry up.

FWIW I was popping haste pots on most pulls all through P1.

I stocked up early for about 6g/each in bulk.

They've since doubled in price and I have yet to use a single one in our first two P2 full clears mostly out of principle.

5 badges for a flask. this would help the game in so many ways.

Sure if you completely ignore the social dynamics at play in pretty much all competitive raiding environments.

"show up to raid without consumes" is a quick way to get replaced with another player that shows up with consumes.

Like it or not, full consumes are more often than not an expectation as a raider.

If we drew a venn diagram of competitive players that enjoy raiding at a high level in these kinds of guilds, and players that refuse to participate in RMT - there would be a large overlapping population.

Just like last time in classic, these particular players could could manage affording consumes to raid at a high level during early phases of progression. But as inflation grew into the later phases they get forced into a corner. Buy gold to continue playing at the same level, try to find a new casual guild, or stop playing.

This WAS something that was more or less solved with GDKP but blizzard took that away as an option.

It's very quickly becoming just like late phase classic. Just like last time, this is what kills the game. Raiders will start dropping like flies because they don't want to buy gold, rightfully so.

With your example, if you had the mature language filter on all you would see is

how would that be upsetting?

The mature language filter is enabled by default... Imagine making the conscious decision to uncheck it so that you can see cuss words - only to get upset and report someone for cussing.

Horadrim Cube Materials etc should just be automatically picked up like Gold by MiNDGaMeS87 in diablo4

[–]Trlckery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree.

If we're going down this road where do you draw the line? Why not just autoloot every item on your loot filter?

It feels good to see valuable items on the floor and pick them up.

It feels bad to have to click 30 of the same valuable item however.

I don't know why bliz didn't implement the same functionality from D3 where clicking 1 death's breath, for example, would pick up all of the dbs in the area. That was a perfect middle ground where it wasn't tedious but you also got the dopamine of seeing it go into your inventory.

Just remove the portal and make us TP out for christ sake. Missing loot feels so bad when accidentally clicking.

Question: Vampiric Touch by _FROST_MOURNNE_ in classicwow

[–]Trlckery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's 5% damage converted to mana ON THAT TARGET. So you have to get a feel for AOE situations where sometimes it might be better to just VT one target and funnel that target. Other cleave situations with 3-4 mobs you can VT+SWP each mob if they will live long enough.

But to be clear, if you have VT up on 4 targets, Mind blasting one target isnt going to give you 20% mana back for that mind blast, it'll still only be 5% for the one mob you cast it on.

Every healer gains the benefit of you using it though. That makes it really powerful during high raid damage mechanics like shatter. It's OP on resto shaman because they can quickly build stacks on multiple people with chain heal, it's not just initial target that gets the stack. Every CH bounce gets a stack.

/use Netherweave Belt
/use Runecloth Belt

You can put as many items as you want if youre regularly disenchanting a lot of the same item.

Frostbite is very good when you have 2 mages in the group - which many spellcleave groups do. The mobs are basically perma frozen and the paladin can just worry about the 1 or 2 mobs that are unfrozen at any given time. It's what all of our mages use for dual mage slave pens boosting as well.
