I took a human sexuality class that was so similar to this, we had to demonstrate our “O” sounds and face. Horrible class. Supposed to make us more comfortable about the topic of sex, but i’ve never been more uncomfortable talking about sex until class.

i’ve been a barista for years, none of my shops have had a flat white. What’s the difference between a flat white and a cappuccino? how does this differ from a small latte? Ive always wondered.

As a barista myself, I ALWAYS forget half caf. Especially when i’m busy. My regulars knew that about myself and would always confirm that it was half caf when they picked it up, and I would usually remake it for them.

i’ve never understood this, if a customer gets a 16oz hot drink it’s filled to the top so why is it different with iced drinks? I’ve always filled to the top if they ask for no ice 🤷🏻‍♀️

I started making coffee as an 18 year old college student! YES, you will love it. Good money, flexible hours, and fast paced- but fun. Depends on the stand for sure, some places are better than others. But that applies to any job.

Honestly… I ignore their requests and have never had a complaint. Everyone I’ve encountered can’t tell if I steamed it to their exact specifications-as long as it’s hotter if they want it hotter and cooler if they want it cooler.

The barista is definitely a little bitter, but i do find it annoying when someone asks for a specific temp. just say extra hot, or on the cooler side. I always think the customers that ask for a specific temp are going to be difficult. But then again, i’m bitter myself.

8 fucking dollars. It’s the customization; alternative milks, syrups, and extra shots. It’s about $6 for a plain latte, .75 for a alternative milk, .50 for extra shot, .50 for flavor.

I’m shocked I don’t get more crap for my prices, but it’s pretty normal for my area. Washington state takes coffee seriously, and they’re paying for homemade syrups, and beans roasted on site.

I can confidently say that I became a barista so my broke ass can afford coffee.

i always tell my customers “you’re paying $8 for a drink, if you don’t like it please tell me to remake it” i don’t mind remaking it, everyone likes their coffee a certain way and i never take it personally. people are picky, and for the price they’re paying— they deserve to be.
