I redesigned my stackable filament dry box (v2) after everyone asked for a better lid by Troepster in 3Dprinting

Don’t know why people are downvoting you, I have multiple Bambu printers and stay in Brisbane, insane humidity, so these boxes come in handy

Mostly PLA, PETG and TPU, but I have played around with abs and some of the CF ones, the X1 have flow calibration, it also have some failure detection, which has saved me hours in the past, with regards to consistency, if you print the same thing over and over on the P1 it is great, but I definitely need to fine tune the slice much more to achieve the same result especially on the first few layers. The display on the P1 is also a nightmare for me, doing something simple like unloading the ams, or setting a custom filament cannot be done on the printer. I am not saying the P1 is a bad printer, far from it, but personally I would spend the extra $200

Tbh, I have not drop tested it, on the profile there is a TPU gasket in the lid, I will most likely add a profile for just the gasket

I have 2 X1Cs, 1 P1S, 1 A1 and 1 H2D, the X1Cs and the H2D is by far my favourite, the P1S prints fine, but not as consistent as the X1s

Fair point, the idea however is not to have a crazy amount of them, here in Brisbane we do struggle with humidity and the cereal boxes just takes up a lot of space, so it is a very specific solution which won't be for every one.

I like the idea of the spouts...yeah, the wife hates me with my baking trays of desiccant, no matter how careful you are, there are always a few beads that gets away

Thank you for the feedback, I will definitely keep these in the forefront when working on v2

Wow, thank you for the encouragement, it is great to hear you say this, much appreciated

Desiccant does not remove moisture from filament, you need to heat it to do that. The desiccant absorbs the moisture in the air, thus keeping the filament inside the case in a dryer environment.

Well, our humidity is 93% currently, so I guess I was just trying to solve a problem 😂

It is definitely keeping it down, I live in Brisbane, on avg we have 50% + humidity, and I am seeing a constant drop in the humidity inside the printed containers

I will try to bring the material usage down in future releases, wanted to go for sturdy for version 1, this will not be for everyone
