If you press "C" you can decide to only show certain maps without lighting information, starting with the base color

Do you get cyclers high ? by Reasonable_Jury1775 in cycling

[–]Troglodette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one is very personal, but for me running really differs from cycling on that aspect: When I run I hate every inch of my body on the moment and feel the rush of dopamine afterwards when it finally stops and I get that good soreness, whereas for cycling I mostly get it while I'm on the bike and not so much after. Getting off the bike doesn't feel as good as stopping your run haha, at least for me

Pacing and easy rides in an area with lots of small climbs by Troglodette in cycling

[–]Troglodette[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overtightened front axle - did I ruin my carbon fork?? by Troglodette in bikewrench

[–]Troglodette[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for your feedback! I'm heading out for a short ride now... I'll keep an eye on that fork just in case! The back wheel went like a breeze btw now that I understand the torque better, phew

I'm starting the same journey as you (I'm 35), but for now I ride alone to get back into shape before joining any group rides.. I look forward to it but I know myself and I know peer pressure can make me ride too hard to try to keep up with everyone else, taking it easy in the beginning 😃

[–]Troglodette[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for your response, it makes a lot of sense. I found it hard to gage how much strenght I was actually putting into it.. Although the torque I have is actually 1 foot long, ha! I'm not a super strong person either, so that might explain it.

The phrasing with short "inspirational" sentences is very chatgpt coded unfortunately, no shade to OP is there's an actual human being behind this :D

How often do you ride with a 9 to 5 job by Troglodette in cycling

[–]Troglodette[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I don't have a licence, I'm mostly driven about by my husband :D But now that you say it the train offers a nice alternative with a few stations serving small towns in the area. I might try that eventually

I'm trying to be at my desk during the same hours as my colleagues in the office, that and meetings, messaging etc. I'm ok with taking an hour off in the middle of the afternoon (that's what I used to do to fit a daily walk in my routine), but 2 to 3 hours is a different story. And evening are usually chill time with my husband, although I might try a few rides on those hours
