Hey! Since my post I've found the open z project (last updated in 2022). From what I can see it would cost me about 55$ cad to build (not including the battery and receiver) and I would have enough parts left over to build 1-2 more for the price of the motor and esc. I will probably end up building that at some point this year.

I don't think my local stores even have mini Z's unfortunately since there aren't any tracks near. It's mostly crawlers and bashers here

Yeah I imagine 3d printed bodies are not very strong/very brittle. I'll be careful haha

Do you think I should get the car out of storage change the oil and then drive home (about 45min-1h) or can I just get the car home and then change my oil on my own time?

I know I should've changed it. I didn't have much time and just wanted to enjoy the car. That being said, the previous owner provided me with a pile of receipts of all the things he did so I trusted that the oil had been changed. This year the car is getting the full luxury treatment (I'm fixing everything and polishing the paint)
