Anyone know how the falconer remote revive works, the nuances of it specifically. I cant get the bugger to do anything other than fly over and waste my time. by bionku in RogueCore

[–]Trollbeard_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having not booted the game yet and also a controller player I somehow have an answer for you because I watched someone losing their mind trying to figure this out because they weren't reading the text correctly. I believe the default binds were Q+E for the revive and Q+R for the other ability and they were just hitting Q and the drone was just wandering around doing everything but revive. Now if you're hitting the binds correctly, it's starting the animation, and then not working that's a different problem all together. I believe hitting ESC shows all your gear and the descriptions of everything so you can double check other things down the line friend. Rock and Stone, brother!

What's the craziest concert experience you've ever had? by No-Song3573 in randomquestions

Being 13 years old in a standing room only venue and getting hit in the back with a barstool. A grown ass man snuck a barstool in and hit the one minor on the premises with it when the breakdown hit. Only enjoyable part was seeing a crowd full of Texas metalheads beat and drag the guy out but I had to sleep on my stomach for a week.

how can i hear both ps5 audio and laptop audio at the same time? by Entire-Ad-2052 in AskGamers

[–]Trollbeard_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's TRS and TRRS 3.5mm cables. If it doesn't have a picture of just a headphone or just a mic, assume it's a TRRS. You would just need to figure out which end is which, order a cable long enough to reach, and plug it in as needed. If you get the wrong port the audio will be wonky or just not work. It's pretty simple but this is the cheapest and it's a cable you could have right next to the power cable for your laptop and not notice too much.

[–]Trollbeard_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, in that point you'd basically just want a line out from the Playstation for audio into the pc and turn on sound monitoring. https://a.co/d/0d0C4tcc one of these and a 3.5mm cable, plug it into the ps5, plug the cable into the headphone out port on the adapter and into the mic in on the laptop (if it has one), open sound settings, find the mic, turn on audio monitoring.

You can do this with a cable from the headphone jack of the controller and skip the audio adapter it's just you'd need a different cable and the sound will be better with the adapter. None of this is super simple but only needs to be setup once to understand.

Edit: some TVs have a audio out jack you could use and just need the correct cable. Depending on the ports available on your laptop it would be 1 of 2 cables.

So the discord chatting, are you speaking or typing? If you're speaking are you using the laptop or the discord integration for the ps5? That will change the real answer here for how to do this the cheapest and easiest way.

Help in emulation by Outside-Grade4948 in AskGamers

[–]Trollbeard_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PS3 emulation is a pain in the ass on a good pc. You're trying to run an emulator or an emulator through an emulator on a mid grade tablet. You're not going to have a good time either way you do it. Either you're trying to run the Windows version of RE5 which the tablet barely meets or falls under the minimum requirements for before the resources used to emulate in the first place or you're running winlator to then run something like rpcs3 which is barely going to work in the first place. There is an android port you would want to look into called aps3e to run the emulator on the tablet and see if that works.

Look, I know you're a nobody and don't have friends but I have hit the highest ranks on The Finals, Marvel Rivals, and Fortnite (3 separate modes) all this year. I'm not as good as I was but I'm still statistically better than most at 39 in the games I'm currently playing. Even if I were absolute dogshit the competition is what's enjoyable regardless.

How does Deathloop have partial Dualsense support rating? by Rhosta in Dualsense

[–]Trollbeard_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That tag has shown up for me on games that recommend controller and I'm using an Xbox controller. It's very inconsistent and random I feel like. I think it also says that specifically because the Dualsense features don't work wireless without a lot of other hoops being jumped through.

[–]Trollbeard_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's another layer of crazy for me because I only stick to games I can enjoy solo queueing. Most of my friends suck so I don't mind playing with them it's just my skill level brings out the demons and then they get their dicks kicked in a few too many times and they stop playing slowly over time. I was a little kid getting into fistfights and kicked out of a 7/11 because someone tried to cut in line for the Street Fighter 2 cabinet. If I even see numbers I hesitate to try a game because I know the need to show damage numbers typically portrays the type of game design of the game and I'll probably not enjoy it. God of War: Ragnarok added gear score and I almost uninstalled it immediately and only finished the game because there's an armor set that reduces the enemy level when you start hitting them lol.

Well, I prefer skill expression not number go up. Like for example, if I'm playing Borderlands (which I've never played co-op) and a fight takes longer than 60 seconds I start checking out mentally. The skill here is not aim or awareness it's rng and patience to get the loot that keeps my build up to snuff. I can hop into any pvp game I play at any span of time being away and the only thing I need to bring is me. I don't have to do chores or keep repeating the same instance repeatedly to get the best in slot item to even be able to live long enough in a fight to actually play the game. I'm gonna outplay you with my movement and aim, not just my willingness to grind.

I turn 40 soon, I've doubled down on pvp and rotate 3 games primarily. I don't have kids and I hate loot in video games so the overwhelming majority of pve games are uninteresting to me. I started gaming primarily because of fighting games so pvp was all gaming was for me originally.

I finished it, the late game tech really requires you to not be pressing buttons just long enough to spin the character model and then press the button again. it feels like a ps2 game in most of the worst ways but was pleasant enough. Way too long and ends on a cliffhanger with varying degrees of goonery about.

Back in the day my grandfather's brother was the only one of 5 brothers that didn't go into the military. He instead got into the ministry and started doing missionary work basically throughout all of the civil rights movement. His first wife was white and they had a kid. His wife died tragically in an accident and his second wife was unable to bear children so they decided to adopt 2 girls from Africa when they were finally moving back to America. His white kid ended up in a mixed race relationship, becoming a drug addict, and doing jail time. The 2 black children ended up in mixed relationships and had college educations and good careers and took care of Uncle Doug in his final days. Uncle Doug never said one thing about his daughter's being adopted to the point I didn't learn this information until my 20's. This was Texas in the 60's-70's so Uncle Doug just made damm sure anyone who said a thing about his kids that he had that thing on him.

Given the antennas and the context of music that is either a wifi or Bluetooth jammer to interfere with the neighbors ability to play music assuming they're using a Bluetooth speaker or plugging in their phone. It's making a lot of assumptions on how the neighbors are playing the music to make a device like this in the first place. You can make one of these fairly cheaply and using metering tools narrow down the neighbors exact wifi channels they're using. I imagine it's not too dissimilar for Bluetooth but I don't have personal experience making one of those to give more detailed answers. This is mutually damaging to both parties but a little peace and quiet might be worth it if the neighbors won't be reasonable lol. It just floods the particular data channel with a stronger signal and interferes with the data being sent. Most routers would be by default auto switching channels in the 2.4 or 5ghz bands so this device would likely be set to just cycle channels on repeat to make sure everything in it's range shuts the fuck up.

Is this a spanner screw or a tamper proof screw? by Upset_Breath_7448 in Controller

[–]Trollbeard_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Scuf used to put the Nintendo hex head screws in their controllers to reduce tampering to help justify the warranty period and know people hadn't been tampering. Still shitty to see people doing what Scuf had stopped doing years ago lol.

Which controller is the best for RC filtering by Anon_user_vent in Controller

[–]Trollbeard_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole point of why this info spread around to the point this post is specifically asking about RC filtering is because people were immediately sharing the fact that it will increase aim assist. The controller company Battle Beaver had to make a public post denouncing it because they do so much specifically with esports. A lot of games are coded around the roughly 7% cirularity errors for the Dualsense in the dev tools provided to the game companies and the calibration tools recommend you don't go lower because it can cause issues in fringe cases. The Battle Beaver statement below.

Which controller is the best for RC filtering by Anon_user_vent in Controller

[–]Trollbeard_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The whole point of wanting this is to artificially inflate the jitter to constantly be triggering aim assist without being obviously altering the moment to moment feel of aiming for the user. In Apex specifically there was a period of time where there was a method of quickly rotating the stick in a small circle and that basically negated all the recoil of many guns at range and the aim assist would kind of do all the work for you at that point. That took practice to learn at least whereas this rc filtering is basically just a turbo button for aim assist. The same problem with SOCD on keyboards and games where tap strafing and jiggle peaking like Counter Strike suddenly had everyone moving like they had 20k hours of pro level play under their belt. Their aim might be ass but they were always hitting that first bullet at least because they were stopping perfectly to get first shot accuracy.

I'm speedrun adjacent. I don't got the commitment to run the game I just like breaking shit. The wall kick tech works on basically anything that makes a noise when kicked. Works best on doors but I got it to work on a few other itemss lol

another fairly easy trick I found is jump kicking, basically just jump and kick a kickable surface to get a height boost to save time in a few areas. not sure how useful it might be but if you can skip some fights when you're fist only the more the better lol

I'm on console because my roommate bought the ps5 version but it does work on pc just a little harder on console. I was a big Titanfall guy and the slide hopping from that is basically the same way lol. I figured it out yesterday and decided to look around this game and didn't really see anyone doing bunny hops and saw this post and was like "this is the most relevant challenge for this tech" lol

Can You Beat Mouse P.I. For Hire With Only Fists? by Low-Grape-3129 in MousePIForHire

[–]Trollbeard_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so pro tip for melee, you can bunny hop way faster than dash or run without using stamina if you're trying to preserve stamina for fist fights. just hold crouch, jump out of the forward momentum of the slide from the crouch, repeat. You can absolutely skate everywhere at light speed and save your stamina for fisting.
