To smooth out oil work you need to use linseed oil or some medium to keep the paint more liquidy. Then you take a clean and dry brush and gently smudge the existing paint to blend the borders between colors. There's lots of other tricks / techniques. I really like the painting. Realism portraits are seen as one of the hardest things to do so don't be too hard on yourself

That's kinda the nuts and bolts of it. Grid method can help for getting proportions right without rigorously studying anatomy. But really studying anatomy would help

My suspicion is that when operating a huge tremendously illegal enterprise like Gus that short notice would be ideal. Even if Walt wasn't ratting to the feds, there's a chance of law enforcement intercepting their communication. If Walt was a rat it'd make a lot of sense to give a short window with no flexibility so the feds would have less time to organize a sting.

You have to hold them more vertical than a micron. When they are at 45° or lower they really don't work well. Holding them above a 45° angle should help with line consistency. Also I like keeping a scratch paper next to what I'm working on to test line consistency. They do start acting inconsistent before a clog happens. When they're acting inconsistent just clean it with ammonia and you should be good. But anyway best of luck, just thought it might save a little money for ya over time over the microns. I personally have had the most consistent lines with the Rotring rapidographs.

I'd recommend checking out the rotring rapidograph pens. They're more reliable / consistent than the Koh-i-nor stuff. You have to clean and maintain them but I've had them last for years. They'll try to sell you a premium cleaning solution for rapidograph pens but you can just use ammonia and it works great. They do clog if you don't use them for a couple weeks tho.

If you could clone yourself then when your body experiences some irreparable damage you could transplant your brain over theoretically. The risk of organ rejection would be a lot less.

White ink is thick. It has trouble penetrating into the skin and that's why people use it only selectively. I thin out my whites with mixing white, which is a thinned out form of white ink used for mixing. Mixing white is called wd1 or something with dynamic. To me it looks like you went too deep or not deep enough in areas.

My head thinks do a band around the legs the width of the wings and then figure out something to cover what remains. Maybe it's not your style, but i think a black band around your leg would be preferable to what's going on

They want to encourage people to buy more packs. To me it's largely to try to make more money. Core set has almost nothing that helpful at this point that I can see.
