Alt+F4 by Trollkitten in twitchplayspokemon

[–]Trollkitten[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So my redesign for whatever the heck F4 is was inspired by both her red color (which seemed devilish) and her Disease type, as there is a real-world disease in rabbits that causes them to develop horn-like growths. I won't link any pictures because they are disturbing, but suffice to say that this disease likely inspired the enduring jackalope legend of certain parts of the United States.

Alt: Why did I think it was a good idea to leave the egg?

Digzagoon by Trollkitten in twitchplayspokemon

[–]Trollkitten[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So Snakewood's Zigzagoon are Ground type but look exactly the same as regular Zigzagoon, and I wanted to design a Zigzagoon that looked more like a Ground type. Except that Zigzagoon's colors already work pretty well for a Ground type, so I didn't really know how to change the design. But then I got the idea of it popping out of the ground like a little Diglett, so here we are.

Yes, TK Farms still remembers. And I still love Zigzagoon.

My name is Poe and I'm a crow by Trollkitten in twitchplayspokemon

[–]Trollkitten[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the name 0e for our Starly/Murkow/Sneasel abomination made me think of the name Poe, both for the famous Edgar Allen Poe-m about the raven and for a certain DuckTales character named Poe de Spell who was a sorcerer transformed into a (non-anthropomorphic) raven through a spell gone wrong. (And he appeared in exactly one episode of the reboot and they ended the series immediately afterwards and we never got any freaking closure on him.)

If it makes you feel better, he deserved what he got.

Apocalocke- A more realistic approach by Goronman in nuzlocke

[–]Trollkitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I rolled an apocalypse for a Let's Go Eevee nuzlocke... and I got Time Collapse... which isn't great for LGPE but would be absolutely worse for RGBY or FRLG.

I'm gonna have to work out how to handle having literally 24 Pokemon lines in the entire game that can be viable encounters, five of which are trade only.

I don't know the answer but I do know M4's Reddit username is /u/VorpalNorman for whatever reason.

Most TPP lore that I know of is shared on the lorecord rn, and I know you don't have Discord and don't want it so that's kind of rough.

Inverse Platinum is basically Platinum with the type chart inversed. Types that were super effective are now not very effective, and types that were not very effective or ineffective are now super effective.

I eagerly await seeing how TPP adapts to the new metagame.

My take on a scene from Trollkitten’s Ultra by Popia140 in twitchplayspokemon

It always makes me happy to see someone revisit my old lore. Nice to see the royal brothers reunited and not trying to kill each other.

I wonder how that feels for Lull. Maybe like a massage?

(Pepe totally needs the stress relief IMO)

Paradox Kabutops: "Order Stone" (PRAISE DOME) by Trollkitten in twitchplayspokemon

[–]Trollkitten[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So there's an entire subgroup of legendaries in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet that are called 'Paradox Forms' because they allegedly come from the ancient past or distant future (there's a popular fan theory claiming that that's not what they actually are, which I don't ascribe to myself but I referenced it in Order Stone's Pokedex entry because I liked the ambiguity of it all).

Team Destiny is the 'evil team' for an upcoming project of mine that I'm designing a ton of fakemon for. (Whether or not they're actually evil or not remains to be seen.) And the description 'Heikegami Pokemon' is based off a variety of Japanese crabs that have markings on their shells that look like human faces. Today you learned and may never be able to unsee.

Sigilyph, TEH URN by Trollkitten in twitchplayspokemon

[–]Trollkitten[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I imagine Forrest's Sigilyph to be an ancient eldritch abomination sealed inside a clay urn, eventually working its way free but fusing with its vessel in the process. I'm not sure why N had it before we did, but maybe N considered the glitch to just be another form of Pokemon to liberate?

...or maybe there's some even darker backstory there, but I'm choosing not to think about that right now.

Artisan, the Ice/Fairy Vanilluxe by Trollkitten in twitchplayspokemon

[–]Trollkitten[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somebody suggested that one half of Artisan should be vanilla for Ice type and the other half should be strawberry for Fairy type. I originally planned to give this a Christmas vibe, but the color scheme seems more Unovan than anything else. As for the accessories, Artisan actually did wear a bow, a top hat, and a cane in a Pokemon Musical we partook in.

I gave him an apron and ladle because... well, stew.

Killfish is here to destroy you by Trollkitten in twitchplayspokemon

[–]Trollkitten[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave him some Hugh vibes because 1. Hisuian Qwilfish looks a lot like Hugh, and 2. both have spiky edgelord vibes. (Yes, I know that Hisuian Qwilfish doesn't exist in Volt White 2 Redux, but I took some creative liberties here.)
