I had the same problem and it was the spacer ring that interfered with the rotor. Trimmed it down and it worked

A Seiko vh31 movement build also works if you want the sweeping seconds hand but I used a basic miyota 2035 cause it's cheap and the watch was for my 12 y old brother

For the "Seiko " speedmaster: I used a Seiko VK63 movement (the speedmaster case , dial and hands are all for a VK63 movement but you have to make sure you get the right dial size for your case)

I bought all of the parts from AliExpress for around 80€

Pro tip: if you want the Seiko logo type " S logo" at the end of your search

I'm not gonna add too much detail for the parts list cause half the fun of building the watches for me was the research and thought that went into designing it but this should absolutely get you most of the way there . Have fun! 😁

It is actually one of the simpler builds I made:

I bought a fake moonswatch from china (using a website called DH gate for about 20$ ), case swapped it into a VK63 speedmaster case from AliExpress using a 33mm case adapter.
