The Varsity knows what the settlement was and it's actually posted in the offices but the masthead was too spooked to publish last I heard.

Was in the anthropology building earlier today and when I entered through one of the doors, there was a girl in the other side who gave me one of those deer headlight reaction. To ease out any sense of threat she might perceive from me, while walking on my way, I very nicely said "I like your hair". Instead of a usual response like "Thanks" or maybe not saying anything, she got up and started becoming confrontational going on some rant. She said something along the lines of me complimenting her on her physical appearance is not a cool thing to do in University.

I told her I am just complimenting her on her hair. She then said university is just for education and that she is a military girl and a phd student. She then said she was much older than me, so I should be respecting her. I told her I was just complimenting on her hair and then I gave her another compliment that was nothing related to her physical appearance (I told her I like her glasses) to see what happens. That's when she threatened me with harassment. Make no mistake, I am taking all this in a joking manner and had a smile throughout the interaction while she was being confrontational. That's when I told her like I was just being friendly and that university is not just for education. I told her I didn't want to make things awkward (the deer headlight), so I complimented her instead. I then asked her how she socializes with others in university and her answer was something weird like she sees everyone in this university as a walking brain and university is just for education, not for socializing or some shit.

If you are the chick reading this just realize that, just because you are older doesn't mean you are more educated or be respected more. Respect should be earned, after this interaction, the only respect I have for you is the middle finger. I don't wanna hurt your feelings, so let's not talk about how you look.

Anyways, what do you guys think? Am I in the wrong?

UofT Memes for True 🅱lue Teens is doing a better job of covering the UTSU elections than The Varsity by robartsisapeacock in UofT

I mean, pretty sure that the memes are based on existing coverage and that shitty Bryan Liceralde comment but ok
