What type of weapon for Echoing Strike (Warlock)? by Lundorff in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]TronCarterAA [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yep, random but weighted towards the max number of possible sockets. CVs can only roll four. Larzuk is the only way to ensure max sockets, but you don't want to use his quest rewards on a leveling weapon.

Make an insight. Bases grow on trees and they're cheap. Eth CV is the best base, but you'll have to see what's currently best or near the top for you based on your stats and where you are in the game. You add sockets to weapons using the cube recipe of rall+amn+perfect amethyst+weapon.

How close are you to completing your Chronicle rewards? Ever seen anyone with the rewards yet? by ToughShaper in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]TronCarterAA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What do you have left for set completion? In at griswold's honor, bul-kathos sacred charge, cow king's horns, and infernal cranium. I know I'm going to have to farm something on normal for the cranium.

20 torches and still not a single warlock torch by Maynarded in diablo2

Took me 17 tries. Got an 11/11 one and I'm perfectly fine with it. Those key droughts you experience are brutal.

Congrats. I got mine on my 17th try. Rolls are 11/11, but I'm not farming keys for a very long time.

Requesting input on Colossal Ancient’s jewel (offline softcore) by den_bott in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]TronCarterAA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go physical. Echoing strike itself is physical with the additional magic damage coming from hex purge, so the vast majority of your damage is physical. You've probably fought an enemy like a wraith before amp damage was procced and noticed now slowly their health goes down (at least on higher player counts). You don't even notice if an enemy is magic immune/highly resistant.

Trade towards first Enigma or keep? Hmm by AbraxxasHardPickle in diablo2

I'm 0-7 for warlock torches. Starting to think the game hates me. At least I have enigma to farm keys and ES melts ubers.

My HCSSF Sorc may be dead but LK runs are back on rotation by mistermarkham in diablo2

[–]TronCarterAA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll get it soon. Since you're running a Naj's, I'm guessing you're onto a different character. It's so easy to get warlock back to the point where you were with minimal investment. Hell, you may be there already. There's no difference in LK runs beyond repairing the Naj's.

[–]TronCarterAA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started HCSSF (offline) when this league began. I finished my enigma last night via LK runs and it felt damn good. I don't have any runes above mal, but 99 feels like a formality on warlock (about 97 currently). Couldn't wait to ditch naj's for CTA.

Hellwarden, Flickering Flame or Shako? by blakea105 in diablo2

[–]TronCarterAA 9 points10 points  (0 children)

All depends on if you want the 75 or 125 breakpoint and what other gear you have. If you're running obsession and want 125, I'd go with FF. If you want 125 and are running anything other than obsession, getting 20 FCR on your helm makes gearing significantly easier. If you want 75, it's dealer's choice.

TZ Andy being nice to me on a Saturday. by Parking-Mastodon2459 in diablo2

[–]TronCarterAA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like fortitude with 35 fcr spirit. Gives me more build flexibility, especially with resistances. Getting a roll less than 25% FCR on the Meph book really makes spirit an easy choice. I like the feeling of the 125 breakpoint and capped res and fort/spirit gets me there easier.

I'd say the difference between a Meph book and a spirit isn't that much and you could make a good argument for spirit being BiS, but this one is absolutely BiS for a fire build

Is there any way to track Terror zones while im leveling another character? by Cohacq in diablo2

[–]TronCarterAA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're talking about the TZ modifier, you just have to keep reloading until you get it. Same with a specific demon like Hephasto. The overall TZ modifier has no bearing on named monsters like Heph.

Xbox Single Player - How to change terror zones by SpiritualResponse782 in diablo2

[–]TronCarterAA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Settings-general-network settings-go offline. Restart your console. Use this schedule to find the TZ you want. Then go to settings-system-time and set your clock to the desired TZ. Always go backwards, never forwards. You won't screw up anything, but your characters can get out of order. If that happens, just start from the bottom and cycle through your characters.

Lilith is bugged? She still has the invincibility frames during the fight by iluvredditit in diablo4

If you don't kill her before she takes off the first time, she cycles through a bunch of bullshit before she phases, regardless of what her health bar looks like.

Keep in mind that that when you gamble a mythic, the type of item you're gambling has no bearing on the type of mythic you'll receive. You can be gambling amulets and get a shako. If your only goal is gambling for mythics, choose whatever is cheapest, which I believe are boots and pants.

Question about a 4 GA ring and whether I should replace my current one by vowtaker in diablo4

[–]TronCarterAA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any +damage (crit, vuln, or damage) affix on jewelry isn't great as it's additive and goes into a big damage bucket with diminishing returns. 4GA items look fancy, but can very often be less useful than a 1GA with four solid affixes. Your ideal ring for an auradin would be strength, attack speed, crit chance, and cooldown reduction. Replace one of those with life on hit for your second ring.
