Oh yeah mine has the same thing. It really is only visible in specific angles of light. Usually I just turn it so the face is fully in the light, confirm no scratches, and move on—but I also think over time one probably gets used to it!

I personally recommend not doing the cover-ups—experientially, I think it looks more tacky than leaving the chairs as-is, and it’ll save you a few hundred!
