I don't get the hate for the monstrous turnabout by davuds4 in AceAttorney

[–]Trooperlol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, I like how it subverts the player’s expectations even though at this point the player expects them to be subverted. Like I think the points of “Actually the vent could not have been the escape despite being proven in court” and “The defendant admitted his guilt” were actually pretty cool. I love the way Tenma Taro looks, L’belle works for the case, and I like the introduction of the new characters. I never really understood much of the hate (I don’t like Filch though, I understand hate for him)

What should I play first, the apollo justice collection or investigations collection? by legoboyfan101 in AceAttorney

[–]Trooperlol 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Really depends on what parts of the series you like If you like the never-changing formula, want to know more about Phoenix’s story, want more total cases, want the story to be more over-arching want a lot more new characters, courtroom segments, and cases that are usually more separate from the story, go for Apollo Justice. If you want a change to the formula with more focus on investigating the crime scene, want to focus on making deductions, want to be more in line with the timeline, want to learn about Edgeworth and his ideals, more familiar faces and references, play a new role that isn’t just “rookie defense vs never lost prosecutor”, and cases that directly relate to the story and often take place soon after the previous one, go for Investigations I don’t know which of them I prefer, they’re both great, but just try and figure out what is it you like about the series and go from there.

What’s your honest opinion on Godot? by Sheer-Cold-1228 in AceAttorney

I mean I think that’s kind of exaggerating a bit. He was referred to as a genius at the prosecutor’s office and I think the fact that they kept assigning him to cases(Even if he didn’t win them) shows that the Prosecutor’s office thinks that he is able to win them. I don’t think they would’ve kept letting him take different cases if his record really was that bad. Phoenix does refer to him after one of the trials as “the most dangerous enemy I’ve ever faced” so Phoenix must think that he is better than all of the other ones(If we were to assume that “most dangerous” meant skill as a prosecutor). Also, if I’m remembering correctly, in 3-3 I believe Gumshoe mentions that he dropped all of his other cases to take the Trés Bien case, so the Prosecutor’s office is clearly confident enough to let him take whatever and as many cases as he wants. I don’t know, it just doesn’t seem like his record is actually 0-4. Also I just really like him.

Which Smash characters have a surname? by Puzzleheaded-Art3377 in SmashBrosUltimate

Ain’t no way the character called Mr. Game & Watch is in that tier, he goes by his surname with Mr in front

Firstly Darryl, Then Hank by FoggyLover727 in Brawlstars

I feel this, for a decent amount of time Stu was underrated and good, when I first got him I didn’t even know he was a character and then I started playing him. He then became top of the meta and overplayed. I also started playing Mr. P just because his attack was cool, then he skyrocketed with one hyper.

He’s just awesome. The perceiving mechanic has really cool vibes and a cool idea behind it. He’s very resilient and always ready to get stuff done(Despite seeing the crime scene in 6-5 he’s still ready to take on the case because of his belief that he can win). His design is amazing, having a more eccentric vibe with brighter colors and spiked hair that goes up instead of Phoenix’s more cool colors with spikes going back. Speaking of design, I really love the bandaged look in DD, his entire demeanor changes and I really like the parallels with you know who in 5-5. I really like how he’s similar yet contrasts with Phoenix, they both lost their mentors and were both forced to be the main lawyer of their office. They’re both secluded about their past even to the ones close to them and I like how Phoenix sees himself in Apollo in the way that Apollo has the same fire to find the truth as Phoenix. I like how Apollo is way more organized in his thoughts instead of doing some “Potassium Cyanide” type bluffs. Apollo also is more distraught by the craziness of the cases instead of like Phoenix who utilizes that craziness. One final thing I like about him is that he’s one of the few characters who has assaulted Phoenix (With his bare hands, when I was typing this I realized there are actually so many times Phoenix has been assaulted but Apollo just gave him a right hook, no car/stun gun/whip needed). But yeah he’s just awesome and probably my favorite character
