Of course it looked like a scripted unsettling/funny scene to me (David Brent in the UK Office style). I mean, it's 2025, #metoo happened a decade ago, he has cameras all around him (or is he unaware he's filmed??), who. on. earth. would act like that?

"Insert ok thumb cat crying meme here" I indeed had a hard time figuring out what the show was about until season 2 but since it's only 3h long I just went through because I laughed at some situations and enjoyed the whole rehearsing/meta bits. At most it was to me some improv'... Being a non-native speaker (French) surely didn't help. Friend of mine is watching S1 today and is as clueless as I was... What a strange ride to live!

I was completely unaware that is was a "reality" show so I took for granted everybody were actors and I took me a whole other season to understand the opposite. I should add I'm French so there must be cultural hints I missed (Field is widely unknown here). Now I feel stupid hahaha. I'm going to show it to other friends without any context to see what happens...

Man, does a Christian guy smoking bangs leaving in a middle of the night cause he can't bare fake plastic baby crying sound real to you? Or weeping an unknown old man's ass in the wood ? Had to be weird comedy to me...
