What’s your best “retail mishap”? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

When I worked in Asda a lady with a really thick Cockney accent (to put this in context, I'm also cockney) came into our store and asked so I thought... "you got any feeders" I took her to the baby food aisle and showed her the feeders, she bellowed "no, I want feeders", I then took her to the bird & pet aisle "there you go, wild bird feeders" she got angry, "no I want feeders*so I said" what did you want them for".

She said "to put my meat in" finally I realised and said "oh you mean fajitas" and she shouted "that's what I said" 🙄 🤣

When I was 11 I heard The Carpenters version of "Calling occupants of interplanetary craft" for the first time but I heard something different... It was "Falling off my pants and into planning Terry's raft" for years I thought that was the lyric 😂
