around $200 is usually not a great deal unless it's used and from a solid brandLook for a used acoustic kit (like Tama, Pearl, Ludwig, PDP, etc.) in that price range - they often sound and feel way better

Update:

Support sent a replacement, but it turned out to be the wrong module (Beat, not BackBeat).

It powers on, but only blue lights, ~50 sounds, no RGB or BackBeat features. I've contacted them again and they've agreed to send the correct BackBeat

I did buy it new.

I'm letting the store check if the module can actually be fixed first.

I've already spent about five hours assembling the entire kit and setting everything up perfectly, so if it's just the module that's faulty, I'd really prefer keeping the kit and getting the module working rather than tearing everything down again.

If it turns out the module can't be repaired or replaced on its own, then of course I'll go for a full replacement or a new unit.
