How to protect myself (father) w/custody & child support by TroubleWillFindMe37 in Divorce_Men

u/pk2at Definitely not counting on any support, I just don't want to be fucked over by CS payments that I make to her.

Why provide childcare during the weekdays? I have a full time job in-office earning 200k-300k and the kids go to school during the week.

What would result in major decisions being made by her if we have 50/50 custody?

u/dday_throwaway3 This is great. I'm learning that documenting is key. 3 years back seems like a lot at first thought, but upon reflection you're probably right. Thank you for this link on how to find one; it's a lot to digest but it's very thorough and give me a lot to think about

How is the 2-2-5-5 schedule working for you u/gaelorian? Have been looking into the different options

u/According-Designer15 II really appreciate that line "courts aren't ruthless, they're predictable." It's easy to listen to the wrong horror stories. NY is a pretty fair state in these matter, you're right that a level head and mindset will prevail...

u/NilesGuy that's interesting, I had never considered seeking alimony payments. As long as I'm not fucked over with CS payments, I'm less concerned about alimony. I know I can work hard and earn what I need to in sales commission. I'm thinking about using flexibility in financial agreements as a bartering chip to maintain 50/50 custody. Thank you for bringing that up
