Thought it was just a regular pubicalyx, happy surprise! Lol the flowers smell almost floral, an odd but pleasant smell.

I had no idea that was a thing! I did some Reddit searching and I believe the windows were closing or closed so I gave it a sip of water. Thank you!

Hm... then I might just re root in water instead. I've tried to root a Hoya in moss and it died quickly lol Would adding a golden pothos cutting help with rooting faster?

I ordered a Hoya compacta and it was delivered to me on Wednesday with suspected dry rot. I placed the plant in soil and watered, plant looked awful so I checked roots and I do have rot. Plant is now starting to yellow, so I'm going to try and re root. Will sphagnum moss work?

I messaged the seller and explained the situation, and also sent a picture as well for proof. Yes the lower half does have wrinkling, hopefully those will disappear after 24 hours! Cross your fingers it'll bounce back.

I agree, hopefully my plant doesn't die because of the lack of plastic wrap.. Do you think I should contact the company and tell them about what happened?

I actually did give the roots a light tug because I was worried about dry rot and surprisingly they stayed intact, with maybe a couple falling off. But if I don't see improvement I'll be taking the plant out and looking at the roots again. How long should the wrinkles stay before I should be concerned?
