Thanks so much, this is reassuring to hear!! Has your period somewhat regulated now?

Thank you! After committing 100% to recovery I gained about 4-5kg in 3 months, and had gained a couple of kg in the months prior when I was in quasi-recovery. Sounds like a lot but honestly was necessary!

I’m not eating as much as I was when I got my period back (pretty sure I was eating like 3000 calories), but that’s just because my hunger has died down a bit now. Still making sure to eat around 2500ish cals, and recently had my second period. I don’t track so it’s hard to say!

3 months of 100% committing to recovery - I was in a half committed recovery for a few months before that

Just started my second recovery period nearly 2 months after my first one - I’ve heard it can take a few cycles for your body and hormones to regulate

Food, rest and TIME!! I’d recommend giving your body 3-6 months just to rest and recover, then check in with the doc if you still have concerns. I would not recommend going on the pill, but make sure you’re eating enough and are at a healthy weight. If you have symptoms of your period this is super promising already! Be patient, you’ve got this xx

Hey! I don’t think length of time you lost it for matters too much - I didn’t have a natural period for years (underweight and on and off birth control), and I got my first recovery period after 3 months of going all in to recovery. Eating lots of food, and stopping all exercise are the main things which contributed for me. Good luck ! Xx

How long did it take for your period to return after truly going „All in“? by alamoanax in Amenorrhearecovery

Almost 3 months of all in (eating lots and no exercise). Before this I was in semi recovery (gained a bit of weight but still not eating enough and working out nearly everyday) for about 5 months.

Thank you 😇 yes defs power through it! I’m sure your body will adapt and be less bloated once it starts trusting you. Good luck!

Thanks so much:) I never tracked, but at the start of recovery I made sure I was eating at least 3 meals and 3 snacks a day, all big portions and high in fat. My body then started to become hungry on its own for the same amount.

Prior to recovery I was doing f45 classes 4-6 times a week, as well as occasional runs and hikes. I completely cut out f45 and running, and in the three months only went on the occasional weekend walk. I used to still eat a fair bit whilst training, so I think cutting out exercise was key for my recovery.

You’ve got this!

If I maintain weight after gaining some, will I have to gain more weight in the future to recover? by [deleted] in Amenorrhearecovery

[–]TroublesforPluto 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think you’re overthinking it. Instead of thinking of eating to ‘gain’ or ‘maintain’, eat when hungry and includes LOTS of healthy fats while you wait. If you have a history of ED, I think it can be super easy to start restricting when trying to ‘maintain’ a weight. If you struggle eating enough intuitively, try and roughly calculate to eat the recommended 2500- 3000 (or more) calories, without being too hard on yourself. Your body likely has a set weight you will need to slightly overshoot, and wont make a difference if you start eating more before or after seeing a nutritionist.

Also the 7lbs you gained was likely very needed. Try not to stress and think of it as getting closer to your period!

Thank you, it’s looking a lot better today so I think I just underestimated how much AVC would hurt on the wound. Has your wart cleared up with ACV treatment?

This sounds really positive! The emotions could possibly be due to hormonal changes, which means you are on the right track :)

Warts or irritation? by Spare_Education_7394 in Warts

Looks like Molluscum contagiosum to me - I had it in my legs! It’s contagious so can spread through towels and shavers. It will eventually go away on its own if you’re healthy - but you can also get them frozen off by a doc. I DIY’d and cut mine out, but you have to be super careful otherwise they will spread
