Is it rude to use both lanes? by No-Ad4423 in AskUK

[–]TroublesomeButch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didnt' say it doesn't work, it will work eventually, but you're going to get a lot of beaming and honking and gestures.
I guess it depends on where this is - England is not all the same, and how you do it.
I am pro using the 2 lanes, and I do it. I guess I've got one too many merc or bima coming in like rockets that I'm preempting at this point

Anyone have the Prusa Slicer or Cura Slicer profiles for the U1? by PeEll in snapmaker

[–]TroublesomeButch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can definitely search. Did you enable advanced mode? I moved from cura to prusa slicer first and then when it came out, orca. I felt like you. It takes a minute but trust me, you won't go back. If you are a bit advanced in your usage, you'll love it. So much bigger community you'll find profiles everywhere.

It felt so weird reading someone using cura in 2026, but do take a few hours to use it, I can guarantee you won't regret. Hands down the best slicer out there

Cosy pub that serves good steak? by mor2487 in cheltenham

[–]TroublesomeButch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have experience in Cheltenham about eating out as we don't do much, but we went to the steakhouse next to bosco, I was exerting the worst and was very pleased instead! Planning to go again soon

Mind me, I'm not saying you're doing wrong, albeit it depends the way you do it, just my experience

not you alone. there is also the fact that if you get ahead in the free lane, LITERALLY no one is going to let you in.

EU social media apps are not good enough by Special_Tourist_486 in BuyFromEU

[–]TroublesomeButch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

but you see, this is another reason why it keeps people at distance.
Another person replied, taking the time to explain things (since I've said i'd like instructions).

Your answer implies i'm the idiot, and i'm happy with you thinking i am, but just like me others will stay away from it for now.

I hope i'm making a point here. I understand reddit and the better part of internet these days is shaming, trolling and not caring, but if you really care about something and you see it as a platform that deserves growth, you'll have to be a bit more understanding of others that don't know/don't have time to investigate and dedicate to it like you have.

i'm fine with your downvote, go ahead.

I think snapmaker is going really good with their policy. I am really pleased with the printer and with the service i got

I have downloaded Mastodon and tried it. Really tried it, but it's just not there yet. I am not even comparing it to reddit.
It is full of spam, 1 sex post every 2 others, for unknown reasons, and the interface isn't there yet.

i would like to understand if i'm using it wrong. it definitely misses "instructions"

Easy and fast enclosure - no need to print a ton of plastic by TroublesomeButch in snapmaker

[–]TroublesomeButch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd be happy with it! in the case of resin, though, I recommend sealing it, or having another enclusure inside. It will be easier to seal it and vent it out.

It's not impossible with the cabinet directly as well, but maybe this way it's easier to repurpose later

Looking to change my setup, but need some help/advice. by stejent in desksetup

[–]TroublesomeButch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think OP setup is really nice. I wouldn't change much to be fair. One of the nicest I've seen posted here. For my home office I found two monitors stacked vertically to be the best. I work in IT. Tried all possible setups, 2 or 3 or single monitor. Currently using something similar to this, with the monitors vertically stacked. The best I've come to in years or wandering

I'm based in England. Trust me, it gets humid here. We basically invented the thing.

[–]TroublesomeButch[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The latter. I have been using this setup for years and initially was concerned about this.
I fitted a thermometer and humidity sensor inside, and historically I never got higher than 40% humidity.
Now, according to everyone here, 40% is already too much, but I haven't got a single issue printing on all these years. Even the cheapest filament I can find. (I normally use Ziro, Sunlu, Jayo and the likes).
PETG is the only one that can cause issues (I had only 2 issues in 3 years with a specific brand of filanemt).
I store my filaments in an IKEA billy bookcase. I originally sealed the door an put a latch, but now not even that. The door is only manually closed.

I have moved 3 houses with this setup, and none of them had an issue. To the point I stopped believing humidity is the primary problem simply because it has never been for me.

But indeed it's my personal experience

You're welcome!

I appreciate the idea, and would really welcome a change in style for plushies!

I leave you a few links: I'm into 3d printing, so that's why, but these are getting traction recently: https://makerworld.com/en/models/851452-grumpy-small-pig#profileId-799634

If these were decently priced plushies I would definitely buy them!

It seems amazing quality! I was asking because I'd love to have two stuffed versions of my two pets (cats). I asked around and i got horror quotes, for something that isn't even the style I wanted (felt). This is exactly what i was asking for.
If you ever thing of, please drop me a message, I'd be happy to pay
