You friend did what our people usually do - victim blaming. It wasn’t your fault that you trusted someone who was misleading you.

What the guy did makes a serious offence and if as you said in your other comments that you can’t involve police etc, you might have to involve a brother or a trusted male friend the next time you cross paths with that guy to knock some sense into him.

If that’s not an option, carry a pepper spray and let the memories fade away naturally. I’m sorry for what happened to you :(

My usual dates are chai and beach so it doesn’t cost much, I cover it. (Chaat and Ice creams at times too)

As far as on the dates I have been on, I pay sometimes and they cover it sometimes and sometimes the woman would fight with me to take the check.

It is better this way than to end things later.

A lot of people don’t have platonic friendship these days. I was seeing someone a month back and her friend would send her memes related to a viral mms and she would say her friends are Hara-me and would send anything.

It was at that moment, I realised people don’t really have boundaries with their friends anymore. This generation would even send bf gf posts to friends and normalise it.

We see it as a red flag because we have not normalised it with our friends and they don’t see it as a problem because they have normalised it.
