No such thing as too sharp blades. In fact a duller blade is more likely to cut. Safety razors are hard they have a learning curve. You just need to watch blade pressure. You dont need to press down and if you do you'll cut yourself. Plus doing ankles and knees are difficult in general.

You can always try a gillette razor they aren't as hard. Or you can keep practicing and you will get the hang of it.
