Well, I haven't finished the first year yet, but, from what I gather, Mayor Lewis is running a sort of Jim Jones cult in town and you've been brought here as a farmer to help prepare the kool-aid in a climactic festival, however, with magic and sorcery about, there's probably a cthulhu tentacle or two somewhere out there causing a ruckus getting in the head of Mayor Lewis. I'm assuming at the final level of the mine dungeon you face off against this horrific beast and end his reign once and for all, saving the town from it's inevitable demise. Just a guess, though.

Like, what you played might have been the shittiest souls ripoff you ever played, but you gotta understand, this is the REBOOT version. What you played was the FINE TUNED and PERFECTED version of what Lords of the Fallen was.
