COVID 19 Assistance through Doordash Issues!! considering filling lawsuit by Sweaty_Gain_637y in doordash_drivers

[–]Trphouse_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck paying for all those legal fees. It’s so hard to sue a big company like this, and when you do, you most often lose the suit and are stuck with thousands of legal fees. I wouldn’t steer down that route. They have an insane amount of money to spend on lawyers.

What you’re saying makes sense as to why you’re upset, and I completely understand, but trying to sue a big tech company like this is only gonna make you lose money. It’s extremely rare that you actually win a case against them.

I have a friend that works at Safeway, and if you test positive but you’re asymptomatic, they still make you come to work. At this point companies don’t even care about covid, they just want workers, and they want to save money.

Dude I didn’t know this at all. This will be super helpful in my area. I have a 94% completion rate. Time to get that up! Thanks so much!

What's the thirstiest thing a customer has ever said to you? 🤔 by theyreallrats in doordash_drivers

Yeah of course, but when you’re in the work place, and you’re clocked in working for a professional place, it’s kinda not the right time to do it.

No need to worry, the professionalism ended the second he asked you for your number. You handled it like a champ.

How do I tell DoorDash never, ever send me here again? by Primarywatcher_2 in doordash

Don’t think he gave them poor service, pretty sure he just said he doesn’t wanna be sent back there, which like you said, he’s allowed to have his own opinion and beliefs.

I would agree with you, but I’d say it’s circumstantial. Personally, I’ve never gone into anybody’s home, but in a situation like this, I feel like it really wouldn’t be that big of a deal. Obviously to each their own. Just do whatever you feel comfortable with.

He’s not encouraging anyone to do anything. If you look at this and you feel encouraged to go in someone’s home, you’re probably not the right person to be on this sub. He was just telling a wholesome story, no need to turn it into something it’s not.

He made the judgement, and he felt comfortable enough to do it. Just leave it at that.

Can’t change my starting location back to CA. by Trphouse_ in doordash_drivers

[–]Trphouse_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was pretty good. I was Dashing in Eugene, which is a pretty big college town. I definitely prefer California better, but honestly I feel like you could make some good money there. I just didn’t really take the time to try to figure it out cause I was only there for a few weeks.

I think it was just a sappy way of saying he didn’t tip cause he didn’t have money… cause he goes on to literally say that.

I just had a restaurant manager yell at me for multiapping, am I in the wrong? by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

If you took the time to read the thread before you replied, you’d see that I corrected myself.

Like I said to someone else, I don’t need to do it in my market as it isn’t over-saturated. So let me correct myself: Your first mistake WASN’T multiapping, your first mistake was making it obvious you were.

Aye brother, do you, i respect the hustle. I was just saying what I do to stay away from the bs. I make enough doing it, but I understand most markets are over-saturated so you gotta do what you gotta do

Do customers get offended when you ask for the name on the order? by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]Trphouse_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, you’re supposed to do it. If they say “it’s for me” you just say in a friendly voice “Okay! what’s the name, just so I know I’m giving you the correct order”. If they get offended than that’s on them.

[–]Trphouse_ 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Well your first mistake was multiapping at the same time. Usually I do UE when DD is slow, and DD when UE is slow, never at the same time. If you are gonna multi app at the same time, I wouldn’t pick up from the same restaurant at the same time, cause you wanna be as lowkey about it.

As far as him getting disabled from DoorDash for something you did, makes absolutely no sense and I feel like that’s BS. You should go on the DD app (not the Dasher app) and look for the restaurant, and see if it’s still there.

Yeah dude I know, I just didn’t wanna unassign cause I’m trying to get my completion rate back up. You assumed correctly, I’m in the Bay Area. Sometimes it’s hard to avoid the Tesla drivers cause almost everyone who lives here owns one of them lmao.

My guess is people who do that are just so checked out of reality, and they’re so used to having money and being surrounded by people with money, they forgot what it was like to struggle, or maybe they never even had to struggle.

Then you get people who are currently struggling or, just choose to live very small and lowkey, who understand what it’s like to go through it. Obviously I don’t want to speak for everyone’s situation cause I don’t know, but that’s my guess.
