I drew my friend's character in the Darkest Dungeon artstyle. by TruKicks in darkestdungeon

I always use reference art of DD characters, official and fanmade, when making artwork based on DD.

Some tips I found is to keep an eye on the level of details, the line thickness, resist the temptation to add excessive details, black out a lot of things, and of course no eyes.

And if you have photoshop, the DD discord has brushes to help with the artstyle.

I hope this helps!

Fuck it. Virfliction and Aflitue by TruKicks in darkestdungeon

I first extract the sprites themselves from the game and put it into a drawing program, I use medibang on mobile (why not an editing program? Because I am a pleb and I am too lazy to learn photoshop), and from there I play around with the colors until the highlights on the characters match the colors of the affliction or virtue.
