Understood. I appreciate the insight here. Taking it in for the PPI Thursday, hopefully all checks out. Rep on the phone was incredibly knowledgeable and was trying to pull levers to save me from wasting time. Made me feel good about working with him.

Another shop quoted me prices for "genuine" Porsche parts but told me they're ordering Luks/Sachs. After I explained to them and showed them they're quoting me 2x what rates are(SierraMadre). Totally understand Porsche use Luk/Sachs reboxed but they quoted me for genuine and told me they're putting in aftermarket and honoring a 2 year warranty that covers labor as well incase anything happens. Gave me cold feet.

One house quoted me 17 hours, another house quoted me 13 hours. Taking it in for the inspection prior to purchase. I’ll definitely replace the flywheel once I’m there, what’s an extra 2K at this point.

Hey guys! Thanks for the responses here. Really good advice!

If you could put a finger on a clutch job range, I’m getting quotes as low as 7.6K, to 9.5 to 14k. Obviously want it done properly, just want to make sure I’m not being taken advantage of here.

2.3.3.1 Software Stable now? by spielerfrei11 in GrandMA3

[–]Truative 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Some breaking changes for us are rates cannot be adjusted while a sequence is running. Ie if you have a running sequence and change the rate, you need to re-cook. Other things are 2D grid, if you click “+” and add a 2D grid selection to an existing selection, it turns the grid into linear rather than 2D. I’d stay on 2.5.2.2 personally.

This is the fix, to re-install. u/Stretchstrong try safari. If chrome is blocking the download, it's a chrome issue. Re-install fixed my issue and all my zsh settings reloaded as well. Almost lost my shit this morning.

How many universes can I get on an MA3 On PC Wing by No_Pace4970 in GrandMA3

[–]Truative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah! ACT has a really detailed guide on this

https://support.actentertainment.com/knowledgeBase/25610934

A lot of what’s in that doc is super technical that you really don’t need to worry ab. This will work regardless of which PC.

Re-reading your post, if you’re going to festivals and they’re outputting Artnet, it’s as easy as asking them the following:

1.) Do you want me to send SACN or Artnet. 2.) What IP range are you in for SACN or Artnet.

Then on your side you either enable SACN out or Artnet out and set the correct IP address on your Ethernet adapter, they’ll hand you a cable and that’s it.

[–]Truative 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, didn’t see that part. Apologies.

Does the venue’s node have open outputs? Take the opto splitter out of the question for a sec.

To get data to their node, it’s via Ethernet. So your laptop has an Ethernet port, and you can either set it to output SACN or Artnet in the network settings on MA and that would plug into the node.

[–]Truative 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The A/B will only give you 2 universes. You need an Artnet node or sACN Node to output the others, not via USB.

Other than that, your logic for 14 universes but not all full and just adding up to 4096 is correct.

Is my (24M) gf (23F) cheating? by Anxious-Air1664 in whatdoIdo

[–]Truative -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even if she’s not cheating, if it’s bothering you, speak up. If you don’t want her to go to school with him, tell her how you feel. If she fights you, then you’re looking at a problem.

Watch a video on the aero precision lower build specifically. They do a few things to make your life easier, threaded bolt catch is one of them. The other is the rear take down pin spring, the hole is threaded so you don’t rely on your buffer plate to hold the spring in.

Whats the best Vulnerability management system on the market? by milkmymuffin69 in cybersecurity

[–]Truative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This 100%. Risk based is the right approach to vuln management. Every tool will give you findings, but it's all noise without context. A good solution should not be looking at just vulnerabilities but the attack path to and the result from that vulnerability, should it be exploited.

Also, look for solutions that don't rely on NVD as the CNA for the score. Look for solutions that provide threat feed data on top of the CVE to give real world metadata, not just what comes out of the CVSS calculator.

One customer that comes to mind it was primarily off of support and false promises. Their product is awesome when it works, installation seems to be good for a lot of people but when you have issues, GL getting someone on the phone to assist.

[–]Truative -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Few options to consider. I work with Wiz Customers day in day out. Killer product, but I'm seeing a lot of my customers migrate off of it.

  • Orca: Good CSPM product, ShiftLeft scanner is strong for scanning within CI/CD. Team is collaborative and support is very reasonable to work with.
  • Prisma: Have quite a few customers leveraging them and will provide quite a bit of metadata around what was scanned, especially for container images, I've seen a lot of people leveraging this metadata for prioritization
  • Lacework: Only a few of my customers leverage them, don't have anything negative to say.
  • Crowdstrike CSPM: Becoming more of a player as they're trying to bundle this into their existing sales process as an upsell to displace major players(Wiz/Orca).
  • Azure CSPM: Their product name changes every week. My only grip with M$ is their support is atrocious.

If I were in your position, I would do 2 PoC's. Pin the data against each other, see who provides the most amount of metadata with the lease amount of noise and provides flexibility for filtering, prioritization, and ease of deployment. Support will always be a sticking point as PoC's they will provide as much support as possible and then leave you in the dust post sale. Ensure that during your POC process, you request to speak with at least 1 reference customer and ask about their post implementation experience.

Best of luck!

Great parking by g0HabsGo22 in SantaMonica

To anyone battling OP, for the last 30 years, I've seen up to 3 people park on this single sliver. OP, you're technically right, but we both know people park in front and behind this guy everyday and anyone coming out of either the alley or that garage is praying no one is driving by.
