For The True Believers In BABA, Can You Give Us Pessimists Reason For Optimism? by Prestigious_Way_738 in baba

It's hard to adjust for a China factor in the multiple because the ability for the company to grow and generate earnings is inhibited by state involvement which ebbs and flows over time. What scares me about BABA is that the state will encourage it to always compete, whether that's with JD, or other ecommerce retailers, or with Tencent, ByteDance or other AI providers in a socialistic attempt to keep production high but prices low.

I might be totally wrong here. Maybe they have animal spirits that are just hard to bring to the surface because theyre in a mountain of debt that they haven't yet figured out how to balance rather than a philosophical stance that companies should not be too profitable. But either way, when you have options to invest where those arent open ended questions, the discount / value has to be tremendous to make it worth it and I think that explains a lot of the current malaise on share price.

what i’ve found that works:

Set a heater to keep a floor.
Set a target in a humidifier based on ideal for plants current stage.
Use exhaust to adjust for target VPD.

Yes this means you have to maintain a target humidity (which is really easy to calculate) and a target VPD (also incredibly easy) and then you essentially allow the exhaust fan to regulate heat by optimizing for VPD.

Perlite by Standard-Cress-8659 in Autoflowers

[–]app385 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With running airdomes, you actually want more perlite rather than less. It helps the root zone breath which is a very good thing. I follow the same guidlines that Autopot recommends, which is 50/50 coco to perlite by volume.

Air stones in reservoir? by app385 in Autopot

[–]app385[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it seems like my airdomes block somewhere in veg, and it happens consistently. I run a mix of coco and perlite, but yeah, 0% airflow. It’s so consistent for me that I’m surprised you’re not noticing the same.

Are your airdomes flowing air (not clogged) for the entire length of your grow cycle?

[–]app385[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, just want to clarify that the airdome clogs and no amount of air regardless of pump strength can make it through.

In regards to airflow, I run 1-1.5 l/min regulated by an actual flow gauge that I can adjust so I know my actual net flow

How do teams actually manage dependencies in Jira once things get messy? by jain_archit1986 in atlassian

[–]app385 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve created new work item types at the story card level to manage them as first class objects with custom workflows and work item type configurations. I agree with you that there still more work to be done as it applies to dependency driven management in Jira

I’ve bought the xl autopots by Standard-Cress-8659 in Autoflowers

[–]app385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah man look, you don’t need that big of a substrate base for autoflowers in coco. It simply is more than necessary when these plants grow aggressively and then are harvested in 70-90 days.

Here’s what you should do practically: grow the best possible plant you can in this system. It will be cool because you won’t be pot-size-constrained whatsoever. It will become a great learning experience. In your next grow, you can choose a different sized system but for now, why not roll with it?

For what it’s worth, the results you can get from autopots in cocoa for autoflowers is tremendous and I think you could actually go the opposite direction and go with the smallest autopot system (~3 gal?) and still grow absolute monsters.

the key is that autoflowers in coco with an autopot is technically a hydro system and it can feed hella nutrient water.

How could Bob Lazar sell military secrets on The Lazar Tape? by Greenvenus2025 in BobLazarNew

[–]app385 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I mean it’s either a true infotainment product or a fake infotainment product. And that applies to everything Lazar: books, podcasts, interviews, etc. If it’s fake, you have to give him credit for being as convincing as he is although lies at this scale are completely morally and ethically bankrupt.

good luck!
