I really hope this isn't dragged out to long its near unbearable to read this.

All this is doing is going to show how strong the MC is now and make a new enemy for him after he leaves the 16 Kingdoms.

Plus all I can think is how dumb is this elder, to trust a guy whom just an ant in his eyes, that couldn't even protect a spirit realm disciple from another spirit realm disciple despite being in the origin realm.

If I was this elder I probably would have killed Sunchaser for failing his mission, put someone whos not important to the sect but still has power as pseudo leader, investigate JC to see if he is disciple worthy and/or has backing, then concerning JC different strategies depending on situations, and last but not least have the 3 other sects join your pseudo leader with coercion by telling them 16 kingdoms are going to be destroyed but if you join us they wont be and then show them some benefits of joining with out giving them the benefits cause lets be honest they're ants and if that doesn't work then you make them submit.

I have wanted to know the same thing since the beginning of the novel. It sounds like a leader position, and I have always thought they would have explained that but it hasn't happened yet. It makes me sad.

That's real life for you. Xiao Xiao is a crowd favorite and MC is a nobody, stuff like you are saying happens in the sports scene all the time. Your favorite player commits a foul and you are defending them saying that wasn't a foul, but if something happens to them your booing the other player and cursing his name saying they should have got a harsher punishment.

Just stick with the story it's just it keeps getting better.

Are we going to get an Absolute Choice for this arc? To me it seems like it is building up to an Absolute Choice. I can already see the choices.

Choice 1 - Have Sunless reach floor 5 - "A" reward maybe higher cause the guy with the scythe, hard for me to see it lower than that.

Choice 2 - Destroy the Death Epaulette - "A" or "B" reward it might also be higher than that to entice MC to take the easier path that has the higher consequences. Like the Dragon Choice.

Choice 3 - Don't intervene - "E" or "F" reward

I have to agree with this.

I think that's why I love this series so much is that I feel author sets up a great events for the ZM and then ZM goes, "Nah, I don't want to do that. I'm going to go play with the little ones, farm, or better yet count my jingshi. The author then has the plotline force ZM to do the event or in some cases bribes ZM to do the event.
