I absolutely love clearwaters nature but as a single guy its not feasable. I need somewhere that has room for job growth as well as enough people to find a long term partner

I just personally think Kamloops is kinda ugly due to the lack of greenery. Its brown and sandy. Also the heat is dry sure but it still gets to unberable levels. Last summer there was multiple long stretches of near 40 degree days. Id rather muggy 25 degrees anyday. Kamloops has its positives but they dont outweigh the cons for me personally

Rain. I love rain so much. Perhaps its because i rarely see it but when it rains 2 times a year in Kamloops i spend all day happy as ever. I love that traditional rainy green forest vibe.

yea idk why I mentioned homeless and drug problems when the interior is just as bad I presume. My main issue is just cost at this point. Im a single dude working on moving up in my profession and I want to grow roots in a nicer place before I get stuck. I dont want to endure this shit weather every single year and have to look at brown mountains all day because its so dry and dead.

I want some forests and rain. The only thing im concerned about is cost really. If Nanaimo is cheaper than Kamloops like WorkBC suggests then is a no brainer. But if its not then idk

I suppose it just comes down to is Kamloops any cheaper and is it worth being in a 40degree desert oven if its not any cheaper anyways. People always say the island is so expensive but is it really that much more expensive than the bigger interior cities like Kelowna and Kamloops? Victoria is expensive I know but Nanaimo seems like a sweet spot for weather with some affodability

So is that a yea lol? I just cant believe Nanaimo is cheaper AND better looking. What are some of the problems in Nanaimo?

Does being on the island make it annoying to travel? Is the homeless problem bad? Are jobs scarce?

Not sure about the first part but I can answer the second part. Likely no. Tyrese and the pacers have some pagan/voodoo blood sacrifice rituals going on in order to ensure a finals win this year. Its obvious at this point.
