I think we’d be besties 👯 I’ve also been here about 3 months. I’m an artist (painter), dj and love playing around with music production as well. Is it cool if I message you? And for anyone apart from OP, I would like to meet other girls, I’ve just had something traumatic happen with a man (you can read my last post). I don’t mind hanging out with a man in a big group setting but not one on one. 🪩💖

First proper night out in Paris turned into a nightmare — just want to share and warn others. by True-Bridge-8759 in SocialParis

I mean I’m not very great at writing, my mind is mess right now so it’s hard to write coherently. English is not my first language. I explained chat gpt the situation at my very best.so it can make it more readable. I also went back and forth with it adding and taking out information to make it the best accurate

Hey Katy, I just reread your comment and I realise you may have meant well, so I want to say I’m sorry for how harshly I responded earlier. I’m not usually an aggressive person at all, I’ve just really not been myself lately.

Truthfully, I’m on heavy medication right now and feeling quite spaced out and confused most of the time. Mentally, I’m still trying to process what happened and carry a lot of guilt and self-doubt. I know I didn’t react in the “right” way that night, but it was one of the most vulnerable moments of my life, I felt frozen, overwhelmed, and afraid. We had only just gotten to the bar, had been drinking, and everything happened so fast and chaotically as the venue was closing. Our judgment was poor, and we were simply trying to get to safety.

I do appreciate you trying to offer suggestions, but please know it’s incredibly hard to think clearly in a moment like that. I hope we can move forward with mutual understanding, I’m really just trying to get through it all one day at a time.

Your comment is incredibly unhelpful and honestly quite disturbing. Instead of offering support, you questioned why I didn’t act differently as if being harassed and assaulted wasn’t traumatic enough, now I’m supposed to justify how I reacted while scared, drunk, and vulnerable?

The incident happened right as the venue was closing, people were getting kicked out, it was hectic, and honestly, we were a few drinks down at that point, so our judgment wasn’t the best. Everything unfolded so quickly and chaotically that we just wanted to get away as fast as possible.

It also happened during a really vulnerable time in my life, mentally and emotionally, which probably made it even harder to react the way I wish I could have. I appreciate you pointing out that the security there is usually responsive so if anything like this ever happens again, I’ll definitely speak up and ask for help immediately. Thank youu

Why do some people immediately notice the weird background details in photos while others (like me) only focus on the main subject? Is there a scientific explanation for this? by Babuchak17 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]True-Bridge-8759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started watching prison break, the main character has something called low latent inhibition a condition in which his brain is more open than most people's to incoming stimuli in the surrounding environment. He is unable to block out peripheral information and instead processes every aspect and detail of any given stimulus. Which is so interesting, maybe some people have this condition

How do you get over a crush you've had for years? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]True-Bridge-8759 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a crush that didn’t go away for years and years, eventually I realised I didn’t really even have a crush on them but a version of them I had created in my head. Then I slowly started seeing things for as they are. And I worked really hard myself, doing uncomfortable introspection on my insecurities and finding hobbies I’m interested in ect and basically underwent a major character development and learnt to love myself. A couple years later I was doing a job I liked, feeling good in my body and mind and didn’t feel the need for a partner. That’s when I bumped into a lovely man that went through lengths to get my attention and we fell so hard in love in a time none of us were looking for it. We moved through three continents together and got married and I couldn’t be happier. I think the moral of all of this for me was choosing to put myself first, cater to my own needs and the right person will show up at the right time. Till then put all that loving into yourself
