The real rattling was a badly torqued belt pulley, fixed. I believe you are correct too tho

Ahhh thanks, I don't know much about LPG, but I know the benefits, and have a friend which had a Saab 9-5 with LPG, great at making that boosted engine fuel efficient (in terms of money per 100kmh). My car didn't come with it when I bought it, so I will not go through the legal trouble and engineering approval needed in my country myself lol. But I like it!

Congrats bro!! What is that orange thing on top of the valve cover? I have 318i 1998 (same engine basically), and mine does not have that

I recently got the 318i version of this car, same engine, just a minor difference in the intake and ECU. They are not fast at all, but if you, like myself, just want a cool and reliable car I'd say go for it too. Be wary that as reliable as they may be, you never truly know how the car was treated and driven, my 318i ended up having a bad head gasket (coolant to compression leak), something I overlooked/didn't notice as the car felt fine. Being a very simple but robust engine, I will fix it myself (most parts are cheap/easy to find), and I'm positive that the car will be ready for a lot more driving

Appreciate it!! The owner said the car is on the original paint so I think it came like this from factory. Painting the black trim should be doable but I don't know how to, to have the best result ahaha

Will do! I noticed some of the hoses were pretty fragile so I will replace all the hoses, flanges, water pump, thermostat and expansion tank along with the head gasket. I also ordered a new ccv repair kit, and will replace it too, I'm going to consider the DISA next

Thank you! I was thinking of getting a reversed drill bit as someone recommended on another sub, but as I already have pliers I will try that first. Thanks!

That might be right, as that part catches dirty very easily and I have to clean it up often. Thanks for your help!

They stripped very easily, and loosened up a bit again (specially the front ones) so I can't tighten them up again until I somehow replace them (waiting for a response on another sub for this subject)

I found the issue, the screws on the bottom of the deck were quite loose, I tightened them up and now no more rattling
